The streets of Bern swell with the myriad sights and scents of its industry: the wood and polish of carpenters' shops, tantalizing aromas wafting from dozens of bakeries, and the heavy oil scent of artists.  Meanwhile, hundreds of rich colors give the district an appearance of a holiday festival.  The townhouse of Asheron Coyl comes into view, perched on a small rise that overlooks the street.  A low fence covered in vines abuts the street.  A gate opens onto a flagstone path that wends past frozen flower beds, fountains, and sculpted shrubs to the front doors.  A bell hangs next to the gate, reading "Please ring bell" in several languages.  With an 11 disguise check, Nyna didn't really bother to dress all fancy, opting instead for her paladin armor, sorry guys.   She can be the sexy bodyguard.

[Her voice is tense as she continues to speak, trying to maintain that connection she'd seem to be building, but she's losing some of the cool she had earlier (diplomacy 9 action point says 19).]

I'm pretty sure my friend here - [she means Gus.] - is probably ready to set you on fire for the life of our friend that you killed, but we don't want to kill anyone if we don't have to. We'd rather settle this peacefully. You really think that Archerus is going to be happy about this either?

The best compromises are the ones where no one is happy. So it's your choice. But we're not leaving without settling this, either the easy way or the hard way.

And by that, it's that he really doesn't want to watch the other, more competent people fight him while he stands back and hopes he doesn't get in the way. He feels like they're right on the edge of winning this, that they're just about to convince him.

So he tries to add something to push this guy over the edge.]

Sorry to bother you, sir. We found the guy behind all the crazy paintings coming to life but he's pretty hell bent on revenge for some old student of his wronging him and stealing his art or magic or both or...something. We're trying to talk him off that ledge and I got his attention by mentioning that maybe we can work with him. He seems to just want to do his thing.

I'm not saying he's right. But he's also kinda powerful and we already saw Nyna go down so I thought maybe getting him on our turf with more of our people could be good. [diplomacy 40. Maybe that rambling made sense to Wynn then.]

[ Alanna is just going to firmly wedge herself between asshole mcdickbag and where Stiles went, sword still gripped tightly in her hand in case he gets any ideas. And stare him down. She doesn't like this. She doesn't like him. Revenge is still murder. ]

I believe it's our best shot of getting the rest of the team out of here alive. And I think he'll come quietly- if only to get what he wants.

No matter what we end up doing with him, I think it will be wisest to engage in this conversation on our own turf, so to speak.

Exactly!! [Oh. That was kinda loud. He's just rly excited about Wynn agreeing with him.]

[ the wizard waits tensely in a standoff with the others, not looking eager to continue the conversation until stiles returns. ]

Boss says we're good to go. You can come back with us and have a chat with him about where we go next.

[He's trying not to look TOO smug but... I mean, Wynn being on his wavelength is pretty cool.]

[If Felicity is surprised by that she doesn't let it show (bluff 21). She just swallows before nodding and turning back to Gauthfellow.]

Fine. We go sort it out with our boss.

[She's still not sure she's cool with this plan but it'll get them all out of there alive.]

[ imron looks to alanna for a moment, raising a dark brow, as if expecting disagreement, but looking a little smug at the same time. ] Very well. Lead on.

[Unless anyone has massive objections, Stiles will just lead the way back out. More Scooby Doo secret door action wee.]

[Nope, no objections here. Felicity will just let Stiles lead the way, but ready to draw her gun if he decides to turn on them.
