Metropolis is a bustling city even during these cold winter months, but they have no trouble finding the Luthorcorp building - because it literally towers over the skyline, dwarfing the Daily Planet nearby. It's still daytime when they arrive, working hours, and employees in well tailored suits hustle in and out towards elevator banks, past the front desk.

[Bo's enthusiasm is met with the slightest twitch of a smile He's normally not big on revealing his abilities to... okay well he says he doesn't like to reveal them and then he does all the time, whoops.

Anyway... the point is, he's still fighting this cat thing until it stops trying to cut his shirt off of him. So here come two more punches! (attacks 23 and 29, damage 18 and 14)]

His fists level the beast with a sickening crunch of bone, knocking it back against the door of the tank it had come out of before it slumps lifelessly to the ground.

[With all the monsters neutralized, Clark lets out a heaving breath, as if he actually was winded by any of that. He's not tbh. Glancing around, he looks at Bo and Emma, concern in his gaze.]

Everybody alright?

[And it fucking shows, okay. She's got some pretty mean gashes in her skin, splotches of blood here and there.]

How does our rescuer feel about a kiss as reward for saving us?

[She raises a brow. HEY AT LEAST SHE'S ASKING. He was clearly a badass, he can take it. (unsure)]

[For as bad ass as he was in the fight, he doesn't look it at all now as he looks down at Bo while she makes that remark.]

Uh... [He lets out a nervous laugh.] No, that's-- I mean that's really not necessary...

[ Tossing hair out of her face, Emma scoffs at the way Clark balks. ]

I think I'd prefer to settle for our rescuer's name.

[She winces. From pain or hunger, we're not sure. Both, probably.

But she'll wait. Hopefully she doesn't jump anyone's bones while they chat.]

[He actually tries to think of a fake name and just... blanks (int 4 /scuff shoe).]

...Clark. [Glancing back to Bo, he notices that wince and looks concerned.]

Should we get you to a hospital? You don't look so good.

Well, I'm going to go out on a limb here and hope that you're not here because you're anti-shadowkind and wanted to see if this place was hiring.

[Sorry, kid. She wasn't just asking because you're attractive. Again, she's pretty sure you can take a decent life force drain and keep ticking like normal. She'd rather not go to Emma, considering she took a beating too, even if she's looking better.]

[Her eyebrows lift and she chuckles a bit, which strains her injuries, but she takes that look as an invitation to start to saunter over, her hips swaying gently.]

[Her teeth tug on her bottom lip as she looks up at him, her eyes flashing blue.]

Nice of you to join us. [ Ice fucking cold. Emma turns away from the show that Clark and Bo are putting on to look at Brantley, keeping her tone dry as hell. ] If you're referring to the eldritch abominations that Luthor had this lab working on, we've dealt with them. It looks as though they've been experimenting on sentient Shadowkind, trying to hybridize their traits somehow. [ yay arcane lore checks to identify that pixie and centaur are NOT in their natural states. ]

[He tried, okay? Not everybody has super-speed or can turn to sparkly diamond humanoid. At least, he managed to open the door for Clark. Though with his super power, he should be able to open it himself.

Brantley doesn't delve in arcane lore but he has met enough Shadowkinds to know a tiny bit about them, though he probably though the Shadowkinds are different because racial assimilation or something. (know 13)]

Dr. Janik said they were researching ways to meld Shadowkinds' genes to human. So they could make super humans that are resistant to diseases. He referred the Shadowkinds as animals. I don't think they are here by their own will. [He is skipping the part about Janik making them donor their organs for research purpose, cause Emma seems irritated enough and as much as he like diamond he doesn't want one smash his head.]

No more than those on Andres were, I imagine.

[ She looks down at the slain Shadowkind a bit sadly, as if she's mentally somewhere else. Boston, probably. Or Genosha. ]

The poor creatures were mad.

[Uh so Clark is basically going to be involved in this kiss until Bo stops. Because he's doing it to heal her. And she's Bo so I mean... Would you try to cut that shit short? No.]

[She does not seem to be interested in stopping, but being near the brink of unconsciousness will do that to a girl.

No really, her will save was barely high enough to keep from inadvertently causing him damage.

Also anyone paying attention to them will see a pretty obvious stream of blue light filtering between their lips, nbd, but at least her wounds seems to be disappearing (/heals 20 hp, so at least she's above half now)?]

[Hey, diamond girl! Are you not bothered by the fact that right now there are a couple playing tonsil tennis? And yet you were bothered with Brantley's innocent flirting... That's... racist? Or... sexist!? No? Oh well, who doesn't love seeing two hot people smooching each others.]

So, what should we do now? [He peeks at the couple a bit before continuing...] Master Wynn commanded us to confront Luthor if we found incriminating evidence. [Another quick glance here.] But, I don't think storming into an office of a murder-y super villain to tell him his days are over is a good idea. [And now, since he has finished his question, his full attentive glare is on you two, just-got-married girl and seemingly-not-so-random stranger.]

Our first order of business is to reunite the team: if this is what they've left us to, I shudder to think what's become of Sir Queen and Sir Smoak. Once we've regrouped, we can determine how to best shut this facility down and hold Lex Luthor accountable for his role in it.

[ With that dramatic conclusion drawn, she turns to Bo and Clark. THEY JUST MADE OUT THROUGH HER ENTIRE DRAMATIC LEADER SPEECH. She's impatient now. ]

Oh, for heaven's sake. Can you give it a rest?

[Bo seems to hear other people finally, and she breaks away with a sigh, patting Clark's chest with one hand.]

[While her skin still has smears of blood, most of the damage beneath it seems to be gone, so that's good. She turns towards Emma and Brantley, looking like she gives zero fucks about their judgy faces.]

I'm not sorry for not wanting to bring down this whole place with bruised organs. We're free to continue, now that I'm not woozy from blood loss.

[And then Oliver busts in like bow drawn and ready to shoot some fucking centaur's eyes out.

Except there is no threat but at least he got here after y'all stopped making out because he would be hella pissed to have left Felicity and Lois behind only to get here and find erryone macking.

He has no idea who tf Clark is though, so dat arrow may or may not (it is, ftr) be pointed directly at him once he assesses the immediate situation.

Someone tell him there is an all clear before he gets himself punched through a wall??]

For god's sake, man, put that down.

[ She approaches Oliver, raising a hand and pressing two fingers against the arrow tip and pushing it aside. ]
