[ The Knights' mission to stop the signal and prevent Draken's cult from spreading whatever subliminal message was lurking beneath Keijen Blade's performance was a success. It didn't come without its bumps in the road, however: Alexander Anderson showed up, and the Knights ran afoul of the Mind Master. Buffy nearly died fighting Anderson, but in the end, he was defeated, beheaded, and hopefully put to death forever. Finnick, though, found himself thrust into a mental illusion that convinced him he might still be in the Hunger Games, and left him uncertain about whether any of his life here was real.
Another surprise came in the form of an announcement by Nadia Reichenov, an artist working with Crombe and company, that she was changing her band name and taking things in a 'new direction'. This direction was perhaps revealed when after her performance, she approached the Knights in Rafael's dressing room - and handed them the necklace that connects her to the Nightmare God Malaak'a, saying she was willing to tell them everything. ]

[She glances over briefly before her eyes continue to scan their surroundings.]
I haven't heard any gunshots or screaming yet. That has to be a good sign, right?

[Lets be real - these bastards have mind-whammies]

I'd be shocked if there wasn't some screaming down at that river, Archer, even if it wasn't close enough for you to hear it.
[It was horrific. She remembers finding out about it all too well.]

[She's silent for a moment before-]
...So you became a father when, exactly?
[Yep, this is happening.]
no subject
I don't know, I mean, I just was thinking after the act at the Grammy's that he's going to be around the castle, and he's going to need a good father figure. Who better than Sterling Archer to teach him how to play Lacrosse and drink, ya know?
no subject
[That answer didn't help at all.]
First of all, Vi isn't going to let you adopt her baby, I'm pretty damn sure. Second of all, who?
no subject
[Archer laughs, and pulls his flask out.]
B, I'm not talking like "officially", I'm not the paperwork type. Just saying, I'd make a pretty kickass dad. Don't you agree?
[As he kicks back the flask.]
no subject
[She pinches the bridge of her nose.]
Is this an other side of the Veil story?
[How does something like that even happen? She's pretty sure she doesn't want to know.
Still, her expression softens a bit because that's actually...really nice as far as Archer goes.]
Let's stick with inappropriate but still kickass Uncle instead, alright?
no subject
[He takes a long sip from the flask, then offers it to her. Sharing is caring.]
Sometimes, I wonder if this happened to my Dad, too. And that's why I never met him - you know - because he's wandering around this bullshit world somewhere.
[Surprise Archer Feels.]

[She takes it, taking a swig before she hands it back. Liquid courage for when/if this goes sideways.
Elena doesn't remember her parents at all, those memories were lost with all the others she didn't have, but she understands why he'd wonder that, or maybe want to believe it.]
What would you do if you did find him here?
no subject
I'm not sure, but it would probably involve a lot of attempted murder, followed by drinking. Unless it turns out he's actually Burt Reynolds, then we'd probably just cut to the drinking.
no subject
[She chuckles quietly.]
That sounds about right. [She shakes her head a bit still amused.] Given that you're you, I can only imagine what your Dad must be like.

[Archer scoops a rock up, and tosses it towards the back of the warehouse.]
Hate cats.
no subject
Through gritted teeth.]
What's the point of hiding if we're just gonna draw attention to ourselves by throwing rocks and talking about our absent fathers.

[He rubs at his face.] I think my eyebrow is bleeding.
no subject
[He laughs, and takes a sip from his flask.]

[Elena reacts with a sharp whisper.]
What the hell are you doing, Archer?
[And she'll move over to Des and take a look at his eyebrow (treat injury 25), though she looks over at him again while she's patching him up.]
Go hide somewhere else if you can't behave. This is important.

Silently.]
no subject
Yeah, yeah. It's not my fault that guard duty is a friggin snooze-fest.
[He whispers back, then he kicks back and sips from his flask. At least he got a little entertainment out of Des.]
