[  The Knights' mission to stop the signal and prevent Draken's cult from spreading whatever subliminal message  was lurking beneath Keijen Blade's performance was a success.  It didn't come without its bumps in the road, however:  Alexander Anderson showed up, and the Knights ran afoul of the Mind Master.    Buffy nearly died fighting Anderson, but in the end, he was defeated, beheaded, and hopefully put to death forever.   Finnick, though, found himself thrust into a mental illusion that convinced him he might still be in the Hunger Games, and left him uncertain about whether any of his life here was real.  

Another surprise came in the form of an announcement by Nadia Reichenov, an artist working with Crombe and company, that she was changing her band name and taking things in a 'new direction'.   This direction was perhaps revealed when after her performance, she approached the Knights in Rafael's dressing room - and handed them the necklace that connects her to the Nightmare God Malaak'a, saying she was willing to tell them everything.  ]

[Elena seems to relax a bit into her seat as they appear to lose their pursuers, and the more time passes, the calmer she gets.

Her head turns to the side against her headrest so she can look at Isabella.]

You are officially my hero right now.

[romanticidal]

[ isabella's eyes flick up to the rearview mirror again, this time seeking out rafael, who doesn't notice (ahaha ofc dice), too busy glancing behind him to check for pursuers, and looking over at archer with some concern. ] There is a lot over there. I think we should be safe to change.

[isisagent]

[Archer sighs, and slides back into his seat, presses his hand to his chest and pulls it away covered in blood - stares at it for a bit - then returns to keeping pressure on the wound, using his free hand to grab his flask because he sure as hell needs some booze right now.]

You're officially on my Zombie Apocalypse team, Isabella. [First time Archer has used her actual name?]

[ isabella turns into the parking lot, glancing back at archer with a raised eyebrow ] That may not be only a joking matter, once Blade's brainwashed masses awake.

[doubletake]

He's probably not joking, honestly.

[She says grimly as they park. Once the car comes to a stop, she opens up the door, setting out of the car, eyes sweeping the area one last time to make sure no one's watching them (spot 21).]

[romanticidal]

[ the coast seems clear as they get out, heading for a new vehicle. ] I hope we drew enough of them off. [ he looks off into the distance they way they came, concern on his features for a moment, before he shakes it off and looks back at the new car ] I don't suppose one of you has much experience in grand theft auto?

I've got it.

[Even as she leans over to smoothly break into the car (disable device 23), her body seems to collapse in places and expand in others. By the time she opens the door and slips into the drivers seat to hot wire it in no time flat (disable device 28), she's back to Elena face.

The engine springs to life and she slides over into the passenger seat. Someone else can drive, yep.]

I do not think any of us can judge when it comes to how and why certain skills were acquired. [ taking the driver's seat ty ]

[That makes her smirk, eyes flicking toward them.]

I guess that's fair.

[As if she forgot who she was with. Welp.]

[isisagent]

[Archer slumps into the new ride. Hooray for 4 tires.]

Anyone happen to have a sewing kit? Or like, some gauze.

[Elena glances into the back before she looks over at Rafael, who presumably isn't in the car yet.]

I'll take a look at him. You sit up here.

[And then she climbs into the backseat without getting out of the car (dex 14), teeth worrying at her bottom lip as she settles in the seat next to Archer.]

What we need is to get you to Myri or Vi.

[romanticidal]

[ shotgun it is ] Where did Vi take Finnick? It may be best for us to take him straight there.

Back to our hotel.

[And then she gives him the hotel's address while she tends to Archer.]

Try to hold still, okay?

[ isabella starts the car in that direction, driving as smoothly as possible to allow elena to work. as they drive along, the adrenaline of the chase behind them, she starts sneaking glances at rafael, who is staring out the window, one gun held in his lap, his other hand rubbing at his mouth as he zones out thoughtfully.

a few times she opens her mouth, ready to say something, but each time it dies on her lips, and she finally forces her attention fully forward, picking up speed as she directs them where they need to go. ]
