[  The Knights' mission to stop the signal and prevent Draken's cult from spreading whatever subliminal message  was lurking beneath Keijen Blade's performance was a success.  It didn't come without its bumps in the road, however:  Alexander Anderson showed up, and the Knights ran afoul of the Mind Master.    Buffy nearly died fighting Anderson, but in the end, he was defeated, beheaded, and hopefully put to death forever.   Finnick, though, found himself thrust into a mental illusion that convinced him he might still be in the Hunger Games, and left him uncertain about whether any of his life here was real.  

Another surprise came in the form of an announcement by Nadia Reichenov, an artist working with Crombe and company, that she was changing her band name and taking things in a 'new direction'.   This direction was perhaps revealed when after her performance, she approached the Knights in Rafael's dressing room - and handed them the necklace that connects her to the Nightmare God Malaak'a, saying she was willing to tell them everything.  ]

[The smile quirks up just one side of her lips, glancing at Kat briefly.] Thanks fer that. Sorry I wasn't much help after all.

I'm just glad you're alive. Who else am I gonna rant to about Hasmed?

Oh, aye, that's a good point. He really is a total dick-wad. [Ahhh, the safety of a safe topic they both love to bitch about, aka Hashmed's dick-wadishness. I don't care that that's not really a word, I just made it up so it's real now.

After a brief pause she looks at Kat from the corner of her eye curiously, chewing her bottom lip before asking-] So uh. How's things? With Fred?

Is this girl talk? Are you trying to girl talk me? [ she may just be kidding ]

[attollores]

[She raises her brow at Kat, smile tugging at her lips.] Aye, that I am. And yer going to spill because we both know ye actually want ter talk about this, deep down inside, even if ye won't admit it ter anyone but me.

What exactly are you even asking to know? I mean, obviously things are good, since I haven't kicked him to the curb yet.

[attollores]

Aye, I know if he was treatin' ye bad ye'd have his hide as a doormat. [she pauses for a moment, not really sure how to phrase her questions and not make it seem awkward for the fact that they hand't really spoken in a year. Much less had they ever had "girl talk". But Kat was still one of her best friends, and she really did want to know if she was happy.]

I just want ter make sure yer happy, Kat.

I don't know if you've really noticed but nobody on this mission really gets much in the way of happy without a side dose of total shit.

But the happy parts... yeah. Definitely.
