[This log is for any in-flight interactions on the Knight's SUPER STEALTHY X-JET jet plane ride to the mission site. Feel free to make your own threads/threadjack, etc. The flight time is approx nine and a half hours. Get to know your teammates, talk about the mission, ask questions, etc. etc.]

[Francesca is actually quite familiar with this tactic of manipulation, although she usually operated on a far smaller scale.] On missions like this, I think it would be much more effective of Wynn to just be blunt about his objectives.

Although I am curious to see how some of the squire will perceive and interpret our expected actions. [She pointedly sweeps her gaze across the lot of them.]

Perhaps he wished to see if they were perceptive enough to pick up on them.

Well I don't plan to leave them all in the dark. That's just asking for trouble. [She fixes her gaze on Ethan.] I think I'll bring my squire along for my part. His expertise in military tactics will be quite useful in discerning some of their intentions.

I trust your judgment, of course.

[socialgraces]

Thank you, Luthir. [She gives him a small smile.] That means a lot to me at this point.

[luthir]

I helped Wynn select the team. I should hope that speaks for itself.

[socialgraces]

Volumes coming from you, Luthir. [Her tone is sincere, as is her statement.] I know how much time you've invested into this conflict, and I will give my best to ensure we leave with a favorable outcome.

[luthir]

You have my gratitude, for that.

[socialgraces]

Anytime. [She keeps her soft smile, turning her gaze to the window on her right.] Besides, an unfavorable outcome doesn't bode well for my personal well-being.

[luthir]

Nor any of ours.

[socialgraces]

[She nods.] At least we're all on the same page, for better or worse. Although it is comforting to be around so many old friends.

[luthir]

[His heart is warmed forever that you called him a friend, shh] It seemed the wisest course, to bring experience along.

I'm a bit surprised Wynn even had us bring any squires along. But then again, I suppose I'm not, given who said squires are.

And I suppose, aside from the intensity of the situation, this is our usual area of expertise.

Can you honestly think of anyone better suited?

[socialgraces]

[She can't decide if Luthir is being defensive or simply following her musings. She'll humor both options to be safe.] They'll each be very useful, yes. Of course, I wasn't second-guessing your choices or anything. Obviously your insight for this mission far exceeds mine.

[luthir]

Mmm. [Thanking people is overrated]

[No worries, she's used to arrogant jackasses (see thread above).] So how does it feel to take Wynn's very own squire under your charge?

[luthir]

I look at it the same as having any squire in my care.

[socialgraces]

Of course you would. Level-headed as always, Luthir. [She means it as a compliment.]

I don't see any reason to look at it differently. I can't imagine that's what Arthur wants.

[socialgraces]

[She smirks at that. All young royalty like to imagine they want to be treated like everyone else, but few actually expect it.] I guess we'll soon find out.

[luthir]

That we will.

[socialgraces]

[She doesn't want to kick him out of her area, but she also doesn't want to make him uncomfortable with small-talk unless he'd like to continue. She just leans back a little, looking out the window some more, waiting for him to say something or get up or whatever he wants to do.]

[It's ok, he'll excuse himself. Small talk is not his thing.]
