The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[So, when the squiring got posted up I said - I wonder if Cheryl would even remember that it's happening and I rolled that wisdom check and it was a lovely 3. With that in mind, she wasn't even aware that the squiring and party were going to happen. In fact, Cheryl, the ever-dedicated employee, had been spending the first of April as any other woman might... yelling at the idiots on the beach to get sterilized.

She got bored, though, and headed back to work only to find a party! It's a good thing she's dressed for the occasion.]

[Shawn, in contrast, is dressed to the nines, because apparently he felt he should dress to impress this party (disguise 22). When he spots Cheryl, his eyebrows raise for all of a moment, before he shakes it off and gives a shrug.]

I just didn't know there was a party today. I didn't even get an e-vite.

It's the first of the month. We just had the squiring ceremony?

Is it really the first of the month? [She shrugs.]

It feels like a lot later.

[He gives a small shrug in return.]

Sometimes time does that. Especially since yesterday it was later.

It was. [She nods a very sage nod.]

I'm Cheryl. I work the front desk.

Shawn. Or Sir Spencer if you're feeling fancy.

[And he usually is, but he found it kind of pointless in a place where pretty much everyone was a "Sir."]

[receptionist]

[She's wearing flip-flops and a bikini.]

Of course, I'm feeling fancy.
