The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[He shrugs a shoulder, clearly not bothered by those implications. Then he sweeps into a bow.]

The name's Deadpool! Sir Dead of Pool if you're gonna get fancy. I'm totally an X-Man.

[ He understands that bit at least. The healing factor making it impossible for someone to get drunk. It's not everyday Steve gets approached by a masked man who can't drunk like him. Especially one who calls him a dorito immediately upon meeting him. ]

[ The look on Steve's face pretty much shows that he does not know what or who the X-Men are. No clue. He sounds proud of it though. ]

Nice to meet you. [ Steve nods. ] Steve Rogers. You don't have to call me sir.

What part of dorito made you think I didn't know who you were? [He punches Steve playfully in the shoulder.]

We've teamed up. It was pretty cool. I mean, it still counts as a team up if one of us, not saying which, is a few blocks away and using binoculars and peeing themselves, right? We were totally on the same block.

Probably the part where you called me a dorito.

[ Steve doesn't move when he playfully punches his shoulder. Calling someone a dorito doesn't exactly mean you know them. Just that you have eyes and can observe their stupidly weird waistline. ]

So--basically spying on me right? [ He's just making sure he has everything together. ] And peeing yourself.

[ Captain Literal should be his fucking name right now. ]

And you're sure you're not drunk?

Do I look drunk? Come on, look into my eyes. Dreamily.

[Considering his eyes are covered by a mask, this is not an easy task. He shrugs.]

And wow, who said it was me? Who doesn't pee a little when the Merc with a Mouth shows up? And peeing is such an ugly word. Why say that when something like fighting to the death fits so much better?

[ If he was back home in his world there would be a part of him looking for Tony off to the side with a video camera and a wild smile in place. He's not here though so whatever is happening right now with this guy is completely normal. In a sense. ]

Merc with the Mouth? [ Like he knows that's you, Wade. Get it together. ] I'm not really following here.

Okay, you can lead then. [That was asking Deadpool to dance, right? He's pretty sure that was asking Deadpool to dance. Sure enough that he'll put a hand on Steve's shoulder and take his other hand and tug him onto the dance floor.]

Don't resist this. We'll have to roll grapple checks and believe me, you don't want to look up those rules.

[ Steve looks pretty uncomfortable when Deadpool pulls him into his arms. They're dancing? They're totally dancing. If Steve knew about the stranger danger situation he would definitely be yelling out for an adult. Someone to control him. ]

[Deadpool lets out a high pitched keening sound that sounds a little like air being let out of a balloon. A yellow balloon, for the record.]

I'm dancing with Captain America!!! [He grins, the mask contorting slightly around his cheeks.] That sound you're hearing? That's the sound of a thousand slash fangirls fainting. Quick, say something really heterosexual so that this stays safely subtext and not canon!

[ He can't figure if he's being messed with or if this is some sort of hazing thing the knights do. If it's a hazing thing then it doesn't make sense and he doesn't understand it at all. ]
