The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

I'm fully aware of the possibilities. [ and she sounds kind of irritated about having it pointed out. but it's mostly an irritation at the situation. ] I'm not about to drop my guard with him any time soon.

[ her lips purse, unconcerned with sydney's irritation. someone needs to fucking say it and lila doesn't believe in anyone's ability to keep their guard up when confronted with their past. she won't flinch in the face of murdering someone point blank, but every reminder of her own curse turns her into a psychotic mess.

[ oh. any solidarity fizzles up like fingers clamped down on a lit wick. jealousy flares in her blue-green eyes, but she packs the rest of it away neatly. (will save 33) ]

So why don't you go see him? Or send someone else, if you're worried he's forgotten you.

It's not like that. We've spoken. [ her own tone gets tense, her shoulders tighten. ] Calling our relationship complicated is an understatement.

Then you should understand why I might be hesitant to call him for this.

I'll call him. I do have a personal stake in the whole Nicholas St. Andrew debacle, it wouldn't be out of the question. Especially with the dots so easily connected like that.
