The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

I think he's a stalker, but I'm not sure if he's one. It's a hard read.

[David makes a face because he has far more experience than he's comfortable with with this guy.]

I'm pretty sure he's just insane.

[ Steve feels better having met someone that agrees with him about this guy. He's nuts. ]

I'm not sure if I'd say insane. [ He's too nice sometimes. ] A little off balance, yeah.

I was using the TV, and he took personal offense and nearly took a grenade to the room.

Wow. That's more than a little off balanced.

[ He wasn't expecting for David to say he used grenades. Maybe violent force. ]

He readily has access to grenades? And they allow that here?

I have a feeling even if they didn't allow it, he would find them anyway.

[Deadpool seems like the type.]

At least, as far as I know, he hasn't killed anyone yet.

[The emphasis on that being as far as he knows.]

[ Tony could have all his tech taken and still manage to find the smallest shred of tech somewhere. Then he'd proceed to rip it apart and make it do something for him. ]

Well, thank God for small miracles right?

[ The fact that he hasn't killed someone is good. ]

Can I ask about the mask?

[ Steve's one to talk. He's used to hiding his identity, but not among friends. Or people he considers allies. ]

Why's he wear it here?

[David isn't entirely sure he wants to know.]

Has anyone ever asked why he wears it? Or is it a they ask and don't live to tell it situation?

[ Because that might be something to watch out for. ]

... I don't think anyone's ever cared enough to ask. Or if they did, they were worried about what the answer may be.

[ He's not sure if that's sad or not. That no one has ever cared to ask that guy about his mask. He nods though and smiles. ]

Thanks for the information. What was your name again?

[David's learned the hard way over the years that some things aren't worth asking. Also, he can't stand Deadpool so he's not putting in a lot of effort to learning the guy's secrets.]

[He turns and holds out his hand for Steve to shake.]

[ Steve's hand extends to shake David's with a smile. Once it's done he drops his hand and nods. ]

Good to meet you, David. Steve. You probably already know. [ From the ceremony. ] I appreciate all the help. I should probably keep moving huh?

[He nods in agreement.]

Sure. I'll see you around.

[And with that he will wander off and let Steve keep schmoozing. /scene]
