[ Nadia Reichenov has made her stand against her grandfather, Keijen Blade, son of the nightmare god Malaak'a, by breaking away from the deal she's made with them.  Such actions don't come out without their share of dangers, and to that end, Spike has agreed to stay with her as she travels on her world tour, where she plans to warn as many people as possible not to listen to the mind-controlling music that Keijen and his descendants are producing.  While her concerts don't draw in anywhere near the following that Heatless Passion does, there's still considerable call for her music, and it seems like maybe some people are listening.  ]

Would it be any more fair for me to expect them to forget it? It's my memories that were erased, not the past.

Wasn't gonna leave you all on your lonesome. [He smiles slimly.] That I wouldn't be able to live with.

I could have handled it. ... That doesn't mean it's not nice to have.

[bigbad]

Yeah. [He smiles slimly.] If there's one thing my friends've taught me, being able to handle yourself doesn't make having a team any less important.

[Man, he misses them.]

[coldheritage]

It's not something I'm used to. [ a beat ] You can't stay here, forever. You're going to want to go back to them, and I don't think there's ever going to be a day when it's really safe for me.

I'm not going to hold it against you, when you go.

[bigbad]

They need me too. [And he will want to go back to them, but he can't abandon her. And he can't do both.] Whole bloody world does.

[coldheritage]

It must be difficult, being so popular.

[bigbad]

Only easy to do if you decide not to do anything. I'm not just going to sit back either.

Then just make sure you're fucking over the right people, I suppose. [Spike shrugs a shoulder.] Doing a good job of that now, aren't you?

Thank you. That's not easy for me to say but that's probably why I need to make sure I say it often.

If you need to go to them eventually, I can fend for myself for a little while, at least.

Good. I will have to. [And he'll want to. What they're doing is important, and Nadia's only one front of the fight. He knows he'll be needed on the more aggressively punching things front eventually. And he's glad she's confident she'll be okay, even if he'd rather he could be there to protect her too.]

Don't know why I'm so worried. You can always toss any attackers off a balcony with your bloody brain.
