[ Vi's baby comes first, the labor pangs beginning around 9pm on the 14th, while she's alone, watching TV.

Myri's wake her up in the middle of the night, at 4am, on June 28th.  ]

[Myri hands off her daughter and adjusts herself on the grass to get more comfortable. It feels odd to not have her hands busy holding another tiny human, so she leans closer to Lucia and slips a slender finger into the baby's palm for her grasp.]

They're getting so big already. [Still tiny, but bigger versions of tiny.]

[ vi seems just as happy to hold shay as she is to hold lu, curling the little blonde gently up against her chest. (handle animal 18) ]

They're flippin' giants. [ only time vi will ever censor her swearing? in front of myri's baby. not her own, because fuck that, but she will tone down the cussing in front of the littlest knight. ]

[Myri doesn't seem to notice the censorship. She just smiles softly as she watches Shayla reach out to lightly grab at Vi's hair.]

I feel as though tomorrow morning, they'll be walking and talking.

They might. Are you gonna run before you can walk, little Miss Odair? [ she smiles down at the baby, leaning down to kiss her sweet smelling cheeks, making a mental note to google child development of half-elves. things she couldn't be fussed to do when she was still pregnant. ]

[Myri's hands have just been idle for too long, so she scoops up her niece, cradling her and rocking her gently.]

I'm sure they'll learn the best and the worst from each other.

[graveflowers]

And how to swim from me. [ she shifts to fling her legs out in front of her, settling shay in her lap and wriggling her little arms. ] Freestyle. Breast stroke. Doggie paddle.

[witchwoman]

I'm afraid I don't know what I could offer that could top that. [She says with a laugh.]

Um, you can read. Obviously that.

[witchwoman]

I've only been doing it for a few years now. I'll do my best to teach them, though.

A few years is great, Myri, and you're a fast learner. You'll be a great teacher, too.

[ dyslexia is a difficulty vi's learned to be okay with admitting, finding all the ways around it and just accepting that thank you notes from her will take hours to write because the words don't make sense to her and seeking out people to explain things she could ultimately look up on her own. but she knows that even if she can manage, being able to teach someone else would be impossible for her. ]

[She nods and smiles, happy to split the teaching opportunities with Vi in this case.]

I still keep wondering if either of them will have our magic.

Maybe. [ she bends down to give shay a little eskimo kiss. ] Are you gonna be a magical princess, my little ocean flower?

Speaking of, I think I may have accidentally convinced Mark to appoint the girls as Andresian royalty at some point.

Sweet! That'll be so much easier than convincing Dana to marry me.

[witchwoman]

[She lets out a small laugh.] Well, you could still give that a try, if you wanted.

I don't want to traumatize the poor guy.

[She nudges Vi's shoulder with her own.]

We'll have to plan a trip to Andres soon- just the four of us.

Oh I already planned one. Lucia and I are spending the month there come August 1st. Introduce Lu to Andres, badger the boys. I want to thank the doctors that gave me my check ups when I was there.

[witchwoman]

Oh. Well, have a good time. [Myri will just plan her own trip then I guess.]

It's no biggie. My plans include laying around in luxury and badgering Mark so...
