The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[He takes a look at what she points at and wrinkles his nose a little.]

Got it. [He picks up something off the table that's next to that particular item.] Is this safe?

If you like mozzarella sticks. [ she cracks a teasing smile. ] Very safe.

[He gives her a sheepish smile, loading up his plate with like...five.]

Sorry, I guess I'm just expecting everything here to be a bit... extravagant.

They might be vegan? [ that's like... extravagant. ish. SHE GREW UP IN A CABIN IN THE WOODS SHH. ]

[He can't help but laugh, but it's not at her expense. He's just realizing that she's just about as used to this kind of thing as he is. Rural bros basically.]

[He's extra careful not to crush her hand on accident as he shakes it, smiling like the polite farmboy he is.]

How are you liking it here so far?

It's... different Not bad different, just different. [He gives a sheepish sort of smile.] I sort of grew up on a farm, so it's just a lot to get used to.

Yeah, I grew up in a small town, the opulence is something else.

I'm guessing it's one of those things that you start to get used to over time. A lot of time.

[He's not so sure if he'll ever feel comfortable here but he's going to try.]

I've been here a year and a half and I'm... I think I'm mostly used to it.
