The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

Castle got infiltrated by a doppelganger working for the psycho Prime Minister of Andres Isle. Guess he'd captured two of the Knights here to experiment on, and the doppelganger was trading off pretendin' to be both of 'em.

Then this changeling chick, Elena, busted him out, and they brought in yours truly to find him.

...Elena? [Oh, he's pretty sure he's met her. Or he's met an Elena. It's not a super common name.]

So did you? Find him?

I'm guessing the whole thing is sort of a touchy subject. [Even though Dean was the one who sort of brought it up. Awkward newbie doesn't know what he's allowed to ask right now.]

That would be the understatement of the year. They let the changeling who'd busted him out back into the Knights and people are kinda a mixed bag on good an idea that was.

She's still here, though. I mean I just met her the other day. But you're saying she helped someone escape?

Let's just say Wynn's a helluva lot more forgiving than maybe he should be.

If you don't agree with how he does things, why did you join up?

I figure he's not always gonna agree with the way I do things either. Doesn't mean we're not both after the same things.

I can get that. It seems like the big picture here is all about keeping people safe.

It's what I'd be doin' whether I was here or not.
