The ballroom of the hotel is a study in elegance, which isn't surprising considering who the bride is, but perhaps more surprising are the personal touches and sheer sentimentality of the room. Circular tables are scattered on the edge of the dance floor, covered with ivory tablecloths, and while there isn't a seating chart, everyone invited can find a place card with their name scrawled on it so they can claim their spot at a table. Along with the simple centerpieces and floral arrangements, each table holds a different photo of Lila and Sylar, often times selfies, and a location that has some sentimental meaning. London, Nando's, New York, Chicago, Tahiti, Andres, etc. (The tiny table for two by the dessert table is labeled Oregon.)

Once they're presented to the guests, Lila and Sylar have their first dance, to get it out of the way and so no one can ruin it. After a dinner of steak, crab stuffed sole, creamed potatoes, and late summer vegetables, the DJ starts playing dance music and probably won't stop all night if we're being honest. Castle party music this is not. There is a brief pause to cut the cake and so Lila can inhale about twelve petit fours by herself, but it's party, party, party all night long. And, oh yeah, it's an open bar.

I've been going to the firing range a lot. Just hoping to make myself more useful on my next mission, you know? Lila's been helping me, actually.

Being useful on a mission doesn't mean being able to fire a gun, you know.

First aid could help, too. [ hahahaaha if only they knew. ]

Yeah, that makes sense. I should have you show me a few thins sometime.

You'll have to swing by the Dragon's Light wing some time.

I could do that. Can't promise how much work you'll get done...

Uh huh. [He gives her a little smile and gets closer like he's going to kiss her again but doesn't quite yet.]

I can be really distracting, if you hadn't noticed.

I dunno... [ she draws it out like idk son you might be imagining things. ]

I think you might know.

I think you might be exaggerating a little bit.

Me? Exaggerate??? [Wild arm movements and overdone expression and all.]

[ she lifts her hand, holding her thumb and forefinger a teeny bit apart. ] Just a pinch.

[He grins]

Alright, maybe a little. But you're into it.

Just a pinch. [ gonna lean in to give him a kiss tho. ]

Mmm cake. [He murmurs with a laugh between kisses. He's such a dork. Why does she put up with this shit?]

[ because she needs dorkiness in her life. ] Is that all you want from me, cake? I see how it is.

You watch too much TV. Come on, weirdo, let's dance. [ get him away from the cake tbh. ]
