[ no sooner has risa gathered near the door with those coming along, than the entire ground floor is rocked as the colossus collides with the front of the building, the whole ballroom shaking and rattling, the chandeliers violently rattling above, and then snapping off and coming crashing to the ground along with a few scattered parts of the ceiling here and there. everyone inside the ballroom must make a reflex save DC 15 or take 4 dmg from various debris falling. and it's time for more balance checks DC 15 to stay on their feet. risa just barely manages to grab the doorframe to keep from stumbling over. ] My gods!

[ like a boss ass bitch, gus literally flings malina out of the way of the falling debris and takes the full damage himself, cursing shortly. (reflex save 23 + action point to save malina.) he manages to stay on his feet as well, but barely. (balance 15) ]

[Gus really is the best best friend, but as a result, Malina goes tumbling to the ground, hitting the floor hard as she avoids the debris (balance 7). She hits the ground with a groan, before looking up to see Gus.]

[I seem to have established a trend of characters crit failing their balance checks to land on dead bodies.

So that's a thing that happens, as Sawyer managed to evade the flying shards of glass (Ref 24) she does it so well that she overbalances, landing right on top of Serafina (Bal Crit Fail) because what could be more hideous than getting covered in her blood right after watching her get murdered?]

[Taradiddle dodges the shards easily enough (ref 18) and only just manages to keep her balance (balance 15). She still lets out a yelp.]
