[  Jaina Solo has been searching for more information about the Jedi Order and the Force for years now, certain that she and her family can't be the only ones who fell through from a galaxy far, far away.  It would seem that her search has finally paid off:  a Jedi Master may have been recently seen in Malaysia, taking a boat to the island of Luzon, where she was discovered dead on the slopes of a volcano.

With the fallen Jedi's lightsaber in hand, Jaina has asked her friends and family to help her investigate, and try to recover the lost item that the Jedi was carrying on her person - one that was not left with the body.    They've decided to head to the port first, to see what rumors may be left in her wake.  The beautiful Malaysia port of Kudat looks out over inviting blue waters, a number of ships lined up here of all shapes and sizes.  ]

Then maybe ... maybe there is a chance for the people who want to choose a different path. [ middle finger @ those who don't still tho right. She looks for Miles to be like lET'S DO IT but he's with Poe, so instead she looks at Jaina. ] What do you think? Should we bring her to Wynn?

And what if we're wrong? You think we should bring her in the center of the castle? [ then again, they pretty handily dispatched her and she is down to one arm now ]

She's disarmed, and we were able to stop her once. [ Man, choice of words. Rey looks down at Darth Vane and then back at Jaina. ] Weaponless, I mean. What else would you have us do?

[cuivre]

[Miles pipes in from Poe's side.]

Plus, she'll be surrounded by the rest of the knighthood.

[They can't kill her when she's defenseless and unarmed, even if she weren't trying to right her wrongs and turned out to be a blatant liar. It wouldn't be right.]

We can always call him first. Ask what he wants us to do. Wynn, I mean. But I think he'd be okay with this call.

[Poe felt the adrenaline fading as they kept talking, and he brought his hand to his ribs where he had been shot from the deflected blaster bolt. Not to mention the choking and the lightning and he's slowing starting to look tired. BB-8 rolls over to his side, the blaster safe in one of his compartments to give back to him.]

Whatever we do, I think I'd like to get back to the plane sometime soon. Maybe a bacta tank?

[ jaina cuts poe a worried look at that, keeping her eyes on him as she talks ]

Not sure they have those around here.

She might be able to tell us things. About the Jedi. Things we've-- [ never been able to have answers to. this is kind of a big deal for jaina. ]

You're right, we should bring her.

[forcevisions]

It might not all be true. [ It's only Kylo Ren's offer of tutelage that keeps her cautious—the dark side has its own way of teaching things, she's sure. ] But it's more than we have now. [ She pulls out her phone and begins to dial. ] I'll call Wynn and warn him to expect us.

[parsecs]

They've got healers who use magic. [He rolls his eyes and waves his hands, clearly skeptical of the idea.]

Could even replace her arm better than any robotics.

[cuivre]

[Miles is suddenly REALLY UNSURE because learning things about the force from someone who may or may not be lying about redeeming themselves seems like a bad idea, but he...keeps his mouth shut.

He'll just let...Wynn talk to her first and go from there.]

It has to be better to have truth and lies to sort through than to have nothing.

And hey, maybe this will help?

[totally pulling that cube out of his jacket pocket and holding it out in Jaina's general direction]

[ doo doo doo calling Wynn. ]

[ it won't exactly be a long conversation. wynn agrees that they need to know more and is glad that they didn't have to act as executioner - he agrees quickly that she should be brought in, and contained for now ]

[ Eventually, Rey hangs up the phone and returns to the group. She looks at the other knights first, then steps in front of Darth Vane. ]

You want a chance to redeem yourself? This is it. Come with us.

[ Better to invite her to make the choice herself (inasmuch as she has a choice in her position) than to simply drag her off. ]

To where? What is it you offer me?

You will be brought to our base, prevented from harming anyone else while you find your peace, and together we will make sense of what this cube contains to see if your hope is indeed inside.

Together. [ she looks between jaina and rey, focusing on them both very intently ] The three of us.

[from where he is leaning against the wall now, one hand on top of BB-8 to keep him upright.] Can we continue this discussion on the way back? Adrenaline really starting to cut out on me.

[TERRIBLE FEELINGS INCREASING STOP STARING AT HIS GIRLFRIEND LIKE THAT

/ahem anyway]

Yeah, come on, buddy. You need a shoulder to lean on?

[parsecs]

Here, this'll help. [Han holds out a flask that... does not contain a potion but honestly he's found brandy works just as well most of the time. Sort of.]

[forcevisions]

[ Numb, as if with impending bad decision, Rey nods. ]

Yes. [ But Poe's struggle helps her out of that haze, and she looks back at him, then at Darth Vane. ] Please. We should get you both to the castle's healers.

[flyingsolo]

[ with a worried glance at poe, jaina nods ] Let's not waste anymore time.

[ without arguing, darth vane rises to her feet, and falls silently but with rather regal bearing for someone who's been defeated and very literally disarmed, into step behind them.

jaina mutters quietly where only rey can hear: ] I hope we're making the right call.

[forcevisions]

It can't be worse than executing her.

[ And what else could they do? She steels her resolve, trying to ignore the prodding voice of doubt in her mind that expresses all the same fears Jaina has. ]

[ and vane trails behind, lifting her chin slightly... unclear whether she's heard any of that or not.

it's going to be a fun flight home. ]
