Just as before, accessing the secret room where the Round Table is housed requires using the Knight's keycard to open the glass case beside the mural of the War in Heaven, located across from the ballroom entrance. Using the fire extinguisher as a lever to activate the "door" mechanism reveals the long torch-lit hall plastered in artwork depicting the Knight's history. The tenants of the Knighthood hang large and foreboding over the doors at the end of the hall, which stand open to reveal the brightly lit Round Table, and the majestic crystalline dragon statue presiding over it.

Come in, find a seat, meet your teammates if you haven't already somehow... But most of these people know each other.  Wynn is already here with Zero, who is hunched over a laptop, when the others arrive.

[Faye's eyebrows lift as Zero addresses her directly. For the most part, her weird run in with a spell gone wrong hasn't impacted her day to day life. She has flashlight eyes, but...she forgets about it 95% of the time.]

I may not be a genius, but I'm not agreeing to anything until you tell me what it actually is.

Lila's right, that if we bring you along, he's gonna try to take advantage of it.

He hacks into you... we can have a virus waiting for him, something that'll shut him down so we can move in.

[It's not a question. And she doesn't look thrilled at all.]

[Topher, for all his negative wisdom, ACTUALLY KEEPS HIS MOUTH SHUT, but he has the wide eyed look of someone who is probably way too excited about putting a latent computer virus into someone's brain.]

You don't have to do this. He's ridiculously skilled -- he's put Zero over here into a trance twice, shut down most of the castle defenses when it was attacked, and he almost sent the entire London Eye and everyone riding it into the Thames where, if they'd survived the G forces he was sending it to, they would have drowned in their little pods. It took Zero and Skye to kick him out of Drakenet. [ she doesn't really mean to throw zero under the bus, but this is her best friend, she's going to give faye all the information before she makes a decision. ]

And he's got no scruples, and thinks that makes him better than everybody else.

That's part of what I'm banking on here, actually. He thinks I won't play dirty, won't risk somebody else to take him down.

But the way I hear it, you've got balls of brass, so I figured it's worth asking.

[Faye is quiet, letting Lila and Zero fill her in on the rest. Her eyes shift from one of them to the other. She's one of the most impulsive people in the whole castle, but this? This she's thinking about.

Maybe that's part of growing up.]

Alright. [She says the word quieter, a nod following.] Alright, yeah- I'll do it.

Great. Then the kid here and I will cook it up and map whatever programming is swimming around in there before we head out.

[with awestruck glee] This is the greatest day of my life.

What's the rest of the plan? [ she's ignoring topher like he's trash. ] Assuming this gambit actually works.

[Faye turns her attention to Topher, because that glee shouldn't be ignored, even while Lila is focused on...their actual job.]

Just know- if you fuck this up, I'll make sure you become intimately familiar with my specialty.

[Snapping her fingers, a little flame leaps to her fingertips, flickering as she fixes him with an intense look (intimidate 32).]

We can't make it look like we're just handing anything to him. We go in there like we think we're being clever, put on a show of it. Let him catch us and assume he's got the upper hand.

I've got a back up plan, if it all goes to hell. We can more or less EMP the place, limit the tech he has access to.

[WHY ARE ALL THE WOMEN IN THIS ROOM EXCEPT ASTRID TERRIFYING???? Topher sinks into his chair and looks haughty.] I don't screw up.

[ lila doesn't look overly heartened by this plan, but it'll take her longer than thirty seconds to figure out every single hole in it so instead, for now, she pulls a handful of stones attached to thin leather cords out of her pocket and passes them out to everyone. except topher. faye probably won't be able to use hers, but lila will take it back when the time comes. ]

[ zero gives her a grateful look, shoving it in his front pocket ] Any other questions?

[topher's still sulking over here but he blinks curiously as lila hands out party favors] ...What're those and why don't I get one?

It's a charm that effectively blocks One's trance spell. You're not getting one because you're irritating me right now and I don't trust you not to lose it.

Sir Zacharov. [ there's a warning tone to wynn's voice as he fixes his attention on her. ]

[bittersweeter]

I said right now. [ she doesn't even look apologetic, or like she cares much that that was definitely not the context of the right now, but her hand opens against the round table and there is a spare nestled in her palm that disappears again when she closes her fist. her eyes lift to meet their leader's, without defiance. ] You know I won't compromise a mission. [ otherwise this wouldn't be her seventh mission from wynn himself. ]

[ zero offers what is probably not much comfort to topher ] Don't worry about it, kid. He's pulled that trick too many times. It probably won't come up.

So when do we get started with you two messing around with my head? [Faye asks Zero and Topher. The sooner the better, she thinks. Before she loses her nerve.]

[Topher perks up a bit, but his excitement is still muted.] It probably shouldn't take us too long to make the virus, so... Pretty quick.

[he gives her a lopsided smirk that's... just a little to the left of terrified.] And look, you really have nothing to worry about. This is exactly my wheelhouse. Pyrotechnics can be kept to a minimum.
