[ The Knights head down with their police liason Peggy Carter to the roped off scene in the London Underground.   They're allowed within to the platform, which is unremarkable in and of itself.  The floors and walls are done in tile laid over concrete, and the ceiling is about 40 feet high.  Passengers can board trains all along the north side.  The main power to the platform has been shut off, but emergency lighting illuminates the chamber dimly.  They can see normally but there are plenty of deep shadows, where almost anything could hide.  

The main access to the platform is via two escalators on the west side.  The more southern escalator goes down, and the more northern one generally carries people up.  Both are currently shut down, but they can simply walk down either one.   The station lies about 70 feet below the surface, so a trip up a stationary escalator is quite a hike.  Elevators are currently shut down.    ]

[ Peggy, with back straight and game face on, leads the Knights down to the platform level and ushers them ahead where the emergency lighting shows a clear path. ]

Please, if you would. The area has been searched of course but I suspect you have a tendency to be looking for different things to the police.

[With a nod, Natasha starts looking around first, just to see if anything stands out to her eyes right away. (Spot 16.)]

[ none of them have to look very far as they start down the path - abruptly a light shines out at them from the darkness ahead and davin narrows his eyes, glancing away from the sudden brightness in annoyance for a moment before looking back. a very large man becomes visible as he draws closer, wearing an orange vest and a hardhat and shining his flashlight across the group of them.

"Gonna have to ask you to clear the area," he says gruffly. "This area's unsafe for the public." ]

[ Peggy's eyes narrow a little, frustrated by the intrusion. ]

I can assure you these people have full clearance to be here. You on the other hand... Might I see your pass?

[recycling]

[ "City sent us down here," he says. "I'm gonna need some ID from you, lady." ]

[Derek doesn't really think that they have time for this battle of the "who is supposed to be down here" so he's going to slide up next to Peggy and play the role of the one telling the man to go the fuck away but only with his expression and a raised eyebrow that all but says you're going to ask her for her ID? Really? (Intimidate 23)]

Certainly not.

[ She's more than affronted by the request, and not foolish enough to think it's all as simple as that. (sense motive 25) ]

I have high level clearance, and so do these operatives. Identify yourself or I'll be forced to take the matter further.

[recycling]

[ he looks uncertainly at derek, and davin steps up on her other side to join in the glaring contest, but finally he grumbles: "I'm gonna need to call this one in" and turns around to head back into the tunnel.

peggy gets more than just a bad feeling about this - this guy is lying his ass off. ]

[Derek has that feeling too and leans over to Peggy]

Would you like me to follow him?

Oh no you're bloody well not.

[ She mumbles under her breath, and glances towards Derek, an eye to her firearm before she draws it and holds it up squarely to the retreating man. ]

You won't be calling anybody I'm afraid.

[ he stops when peggy says that, and the flashlight falls from his hand, hitting the floor and rolling, the light flickering end over end. before their eyes, he starts to grow, bursting out of the workman's outfit to reveal dull yellow skin, massive muscles, his height increasing to nearly ten feet. davin goes tense beside them, and spits the word: ] Ogre. [ with disgust. the ogre turns and raises both hands at them, and frigid air cascades outwards, catching them all in its freezing gust (31 cold dmg, although they can make a reflex save DC 18 to take 15 or zero if they have evasion). davin jumps aside with vampiric agility (ref 23 w/evasion) and then springs forward with a snarl, fangs extending as he slams into with enough force to knock him prone, perched on his chest (nat 20 grapple, dmg 10) ]

[Clint's been rather quiet ever since his...unique entrance back at the briefing room. While a man of his punability is always looking for chances to mouth off, he's also quite aware that it's been time to shut up and let the big kids talk. However, Clint isn't a fan of becoming a frozen dinner, so once he's dodged the blast of cold (ref 23+evasion), he steps 10 feet back while drawing his bow (quick draw) and snaps off an arrow at the jack frost wannabe (i have a witness for this nat 20 attack; 28 total, dmg 6). And, of course, he's going to pun. Sorry Nat.]

Ice try, buddy. But it's ogre now!

[as the man started to shift, so did Derek in getting his claws and game face on. He sees Davin go and he joins him, pushing his way through the edges of the gust (ref 29 + damage reduction 15) and attacks the ogre with his claws (Left: atk 22, dmg 13; Right: atk 18, dmg 11). He's not witty, and instead just snarls like the wolf he is during the attack]

[ Peggy takes a blow from the initial gust (ref 19) but she stays steadfast in her place, gaze firm. With her gun already raised, she takes a shot directly at the Ogre (atk14 dmg11) ]

Not today, I'm afraid.

[Natasha's reflexes keep her from taking the full damage from that force of cold (reflex 24 total). She follows Peggy's suit and draws her own gun and taking a shot at the ogre (attack nat 20, damage 6).

Also, she has to keep herself from reacting to that witty comment by Clint (will save 15 total). Whether that reaction would have been to laugh, cry, or pun right back, we will never, ever know ... which is honestly probably for the best.]

[ clint's arrow whizzes through the air, striking the ogre right into the side of the thing's head. moments later, derek cuts a devastating swath out of his side and while peggy's shot misses, natasha's all but splits clint's arrow, leaving the ogre groaning, massively wounded, beneath the vampire. the ogre attempts to break free from the vampire, but crit fails, letting out a scream of pain instead. davin's eyes glow darkly crimson as he's faced with the scent of all the blood leaking from the creature's body which the others can catch with a spot of 18+. his lips curl back, and he ... is holding off for now, shifting the ogre to be fully pinned. ]

[Clint notes both the much more secured situation, and the new eyes of Davin's (spot 19 total); instead of immediately attacking, he prepares an action to fire if the ogre attacks anyone (should that happen, attack 18, dmg 6, precise shot)

Clint calls out to Peggy.]

He might be a little more cooperative now. Any questions?

[Derek saw Davin pin the ogre and stopped, straddling the beast and glaring down at him. He stayed shifted, just staring down and trying to be scary (intimidate 13) to entice him to talk. He was ready to pounce though if the ogre tried to shift, both claws flexed and his action prepared in case it tries to break free and attack.]

[Confident that the ogre is thoroughly pinned, Clint takes a moment to scan the area for any more threats (Spot 18), which, if nothing else, tells him that Nat was shook up during the fight. He lowers his weapon and moves over to her, the worry for his friend overcoming his ability to be goofy.]

You ok?

[A real orator, this one.]

[The cold blast took half of her damage. Rude. The life of 30 hit points, man.

But she nods at his question.]

One hundred percent.

[Natasha, you had one job and that job was to lie better than this and not roll a bluff check of 8.]

[ davin snarls at the ogre: ] What are you doing down here? [ but it merely bares its teeth back at them and laughs an ugly laugh. "You idiots better run." ]

[Derek just growled back at the ogre]. Quiet.

[Derek lifts his head, focusing to see what he can hear (listen 15), smell (survival 18), and see (spot 21) with his werewolf senses.]

[ Peggy dusts herself down, such an inconvenience. She takes a step forward towards the pinned down ogre. ]

No, I don't think we'll be doing that. But if you could answer the gentleman's questions we'd be... well I don't think appreciative is quite the right word.

[Natasha has nothing else to verbally add to this exchange -- Peggy put it quite well -- so she just stays where she is, silently, and keeping her eyes peeled again (spot nat 20).]

[ the ogre grumbles: "Fek-Jiim just making a living." ]
