Just as before, accessing the secret room where the Round Table is housed requires using the Knight's keycard to open the glass case beside the mural of the War in Heaven, located across from the ballroom entrance. Using the fire extinguisher as a lever to activate the "door" mechanism reveals the long torch-lit hall plastered in artwork depicting the Knight's history. The tenants of the Knighthood hang large and foreboding over the doors at the end of the hall, which stand open to reveal the brightly lit Round Table, and the majestic crystalline dragon statue presiding over it.

Come in, find a seat, meet your teammates if you haven't already somehow.

So we're babysitting? [ It's not a real question, given that she looks around more than at Wynn when she says it, and more like ... color commentary. ]

Politics do have a way of going spectacularly wrong.

Hey, whoa, no, so not complaining. This is big. I've read up on her. President-Elect Kim has been at the helm of some of the most radically effective Shadowkind policies in the region. They say she's the Margaret Thatcher of South Korea. Honestly, I'm pretty excited to meet her.

She is an exceptional woman, and hopefully, this mission will pass without incident.

[leftenants]

Not my first time working security detail, at least. I'm interested in meeting her, myself.

[Ward nods, glancing to Abbie.]

Does anyone else have experience with securing a location? [He assumes that Skye is there to be their background double-check person, at the very least.]

This ... [ She doesn't meet Ward's gaze even as she answers his question. ] All of this is kinda new for me. But I should be able to run background checks, tap lines, and double check that her people are who they claim.

I was a police officer in New York twenty-odd years ago, on a special Shadowkind unit. We worked similar details on occasion.

I've had some experience. [ in pretty much everything tbh. ]

[ Doyle admits with a shrug.]

[Ward takes note of those that say they do and those that don't. He's sure that Wynn has them all here for different reasons, so he'll just be keeping track for his own personal reasons.]

I've been part of military escorts. [Among other... things that will fit this mission.]

Sir d'Arc will serve as your team lead for the operation. Are there other questions you have for me?

Seems straightforward to me, sir.

[She doubts it will stay quite that simple, but hey.]

So when's our flight?

Within the week. Until then, prepare anything you may wish to bring.

[Ward nods and glances to Skye. He's sure she'll have some sort of warning to try and issue to him during this week of waiting.]

We'll be ready.

Alright, no problem.

[ Doyle sat back already trying to figure out what he would pack.]

[hacker]

[ Rather than make eye contact with Ward—be it because she hadn't noticed him glance her way or because she chose to ignore it, it's impossible to tell—Skye turns to Abbie and grins. ]

This is exciting. [ She pushes up out of her chair. ]

[silvermaid]

I'm sure it will be a great experience. [ with a smile, anastacia rises. ] Jeanne, would you like to get some coffee?

Bien sûr. [ she rises as well, nodding to wynn, and offering a smile to the rest of the people at the table. ]

[Abbie grins at Skye in turn as she pushes herself away from the table, straightening her jacket in the process-- hell of a first mission, that's for sure.]

You gonna ask for her autograph?

How soon do you think I can socially acceptably propose marriage?

Three dates. Maybe two if they go real well.
