It's been a couple of months since the hacker who goes by the moniker "One" assisted in the attack on the Knights' castle, with the inside assistance of the Artificial Intelligence-turned-human GLaDOS.  Zero has good reason to believe, however, that One hasn't left - that he's waiting for him to come face him, and that the stage he's set for the showdown is the CalTech building in the city, whose employees are off for the week.  Realizing it's likely a trap, Zero's stacked his chips on setting a counter-trap - uploading a virus designed by himself and Topher Brink into the now-cyborg Faye Chamberlain's brain, assuming that he is going to try to hack into her and turn her against them.  

They arrive at the building as the sun is going down, staring up at the building that has a light show of digital streams coursing down the front of it, drawing a snort from Zero.  

"Theatrical jackass."

Lila went to find Zero, and Zero'll probably be where the computers are, which is... Kiiinda the extent of my usefulness right now. Not even gonna lie.

[he looks around, a bit frantic.] This isn't Tron. There has to be some way in or out besides what she makes- check and see if there's a fake wall or a hidden door or-or something.

[she gives him an extremely dubious look, but tries to check along the perimeter of the room. (spot 32)]

[ heyyyyy guess what? astrid sees a place where the floor seems to be... shorting out every minute or so. which is fucking weird, because that's not how floors work... ]

Topher!! Come over here! [she will move closer to that spot on the floor while motioning for him to come over with her hand. maybe he can bring faye too w/e.]

[Topher moves over to Astrid and gently lays Faye down on the floor away from the shorting out floor, examining it carefully. (knowledge: technology 32)] Floors... definitely don't do that...

basically the simulation fucking melts around them at this point when he pulls a fist-full of wires out of the ground somewhere. oh hey look. they're on a warehouse floor. there are no killer robots here. ]
