Vampire Smile - Kyla La Grange
WHO || Wynn, Rose, Dean, Ashley, Gus, Elijah [Closed]
WHAT || Carmilla Mission Briefing
WHERE || Round Table Room
WHEN || April 2016 (before Gar's kidnapping)
HOW || Actionspam. Single thread, don't worry about maintaining tagging order.
Just as before, accessing the secret room where the Round Table is housed requires using the Knight's keycard to open the glass case beside the mural of the War in Heaven, located across from the ballroom entrance. Using the fire extinguisher as a lever to activate the "door" mechanism reveals the long torch-lit hall plastered in artwork depicting the Knight's history. The tenants of the Knighthood hang large and foreboding over the doors at the end of the hall, which stand open to reveal the brightly lit Round Table, and the majestic crystalline dragon statue presiding over it.
Come in, find a seat, meet your teammates if you haven't already somehow.

... Seriously? [ wynn looks pretty srs dean ] Uh. Sure. [ he glances at rose, before he looks back at him ] I'll... let you know.

Thank you. [Not entirely meant in relation to promoting Dean but ya know. That's there, too.
She of course has... things to say but she also knows better than to do so within earshot of anyone else so she'll just start moving towards the exit before finally speaking up.]
Managed to pick your jaw up off the floor yet? [Throwing a wry grin in his direction. Rose, for her part? The least surprised by this turn of events to be honest. Helen or no Helen.]
I LOST THIS TOO

[ a beat ] Somebody else. I always knew you had my back.

Did you really think they were going to say, thanks but no thanks?
[There's no trace of teasing in her voice. Just a sincere desire to know what he's thinking. The sad part is that she wouldn't be surprised if he said yes. Sad, but not surprised.]

Not sure Helen is really in a position to be judging anyone. [But it's not about Helen and that thought sees Rose back up a little.]
You deserve this... It's just a question of whether you want it or not.

I've never really been a part of anything like this before. [ it's a great metaphor. for how he's also never been with anyone this long, rose. weird. ]

Rose pulls up, footsteps faltering as the smile she'd worn on her features drops away. Replaced by an uneasy mask that does little to conceal the worry that stirs in her eyes.]
One foot out the door... [Caution making her words sound strained.] I can see how you might... prefer that.
no subject
Maybe it's more... I wasn't sure I was wired for anything else.

And now? [Nobody here actually thinks they're talking about the Knights, do they?]

[ he glances at her, although it's impossible not to see the conflict in his eyes ] Being grounded somewhere. Can't say I don't like it, either, because it sure as hell beats crappy hotels and microwave dinners.
It's just every time I try to think ahead to getting old and going gray here... [ he shakes his head ] I still can't wrap my head around it.
no subject
Do you ever... think about the future at all?
no subject
Usually though, it's more thinking about what might go wrong.
no subject
Guess I can't really blame you there...

It just feels like I've spent my whole life runnin', even more so since everything that happened back then. [ the way his features darken makes it clear what part of his life he's referring to ] Like if I stop, the darkness is gonna catch up and swallow everything I happen to be standing next to.
But I'm tired of it. Living that way, it wears you down, makes it so there's not a lot that feels real.
no subject
Then stop. [She makes it sound so simple, as if he could just make that decision here and now and it would all work out.] Not for me, not for Sam or the Knights. Stop because it's what you want... If it is what you want? But you can't make choices based on what might go wrong... you do that and you might as well throw the towel in right now cause they win, and they don't even have to lift a finger to do it.

Don't know if I'd go that far. [A low chuckle escaping.]
