With five dead members of a gang whose members are composed of entirely non-human Shadowkind, Belgium police are concerned that a gang war is about to break out, with accusations flying towards an anti-Shadow gang in the same inner-city neighborhood in Brussels.  The Knights are sent to get to the bottom of this, and to that end, they've arrived in the city and made their way towards the section of town where the deaths have been occurring...

[Bubblegum strides over to examine the window more thoroughly, pulling out a small machine to scan the area for traces of the force people insist on calling magic (detect magic).]

[ the man ava addresses blinks a bit, then nods slowly. "Some," he says, his accent quite thick. "For prayer?" he gestures to the pulpit.

bubblegum's machine comes up negative, as nyna takes a few hurried steps towards the door. what she sees there clearly disturbs her, and she turns back to urgently shout: ] We have trouble! [ before running out the door. the priest is distracted from baal's question, double-taking after her ]

[yeah, that's not good. Baal is going to stand up and bow his head]

I'm sorry, sir. I have a feeling that trouble outside is not as resolved as we had hoped. Please, for the safety of those in here, urge them to stay inside the sanctuary. I will come back to let you know when things are safe outside.

[and not waiting for his answer, he is going to sprint to join Nyna]

[Bubblegum shoves her machine back into her bag and heads towards the door herself.] What's happening?

That. [ annnnnnd they will all get a sight of several stone figures... swooping through the sky outside.

that's right. some of the gargoyles from the top of the church are dive bombing a few fleeing civilians. three of them.

[ the fight is bloody but over quickly - and it doesn't take much detective work to figure out the rest from there. It seems that gargoyles had nested on the cathedral and begun murdering nearby victims, which were being blamed on the local gangs and starting a war between them.

The issue resolved, the gangs extended a shaky truce between them, when shown the bodies of the rocky monsters.
