Just as before, accessing the secret room where the Round Table is housed requires using the Knight's keycard to open the glass case beside the mural of the War in Heaven, located across from the ballroom entrance. Using the fire extinguisher as a lever to activate the "door" mechanism reveals the long torch-lit hall plastered in artwork depicting the Knight's history. The tenants of the Knighthood hang large and foreboding over the doors at the end of the hall, which stand open to reveal the brightly lit Round Table, and the majestic crystalline dragon statue presiding over it.

Come in, find a seat, meet your teammates if you haven't already somehow.

[ wynn comes in from the same direction they did this time, glancing over them all as he makes his way around to the far side of the table ] Thank you all for gathering promptly.

[Malina smirks a bit at Caroline's response, before turning her attention to Wynn, curious as to what the situation is herself.]

[Jordan closes his notebook as soon as Wynn enters, eyes glancing over the rest of the gathered group but doesn't say anything.]

You'll be heading to Saudi Arabia, to meet with a local figure who has been garnering much attention lately. Enough that we think it would be wise to look into the situation.

This local is a genie, one who has been promising to grant wishes to those who come to him. Considering we have an expert in our midst, I thought it would be wise to send Sir Reeves with a group to meet with him and get a read on the situation.

When you say promising wishes ... he has to be making good on the promises somehow, genie magic or otherwise, doesn't he? Otherwise he'd be a laughing stock.

[speaking as the resident expert on all things genie-esque... when Wynn utters the dreaded "w" word, his fingers flex involuntarily, not having been expecting this to be the mission.

Jordan clears his throat, scratching the back of his head with his still-tingling fingers as he leans back in his chair, his voice deep as he speaks.]

Yes and no, honestly. The entire point of Djinn magic is to tweak the wish that is granted, in as many ways a possible as the wording will allow. And if he is merely promising the magic, and it hasn't come from one's possession of his bottle... He would be under no obligation to guarantee delivery of the promised magic, and could be just stringing these people along.

Laughingstock or no, people will still flock to him for the opportunity for free magic.

And they're certainly flocking, which leads us to believe he wants something from them, beside an opportunity to show off. Most genies aren't known to flaunt their powers so publicly.

Is it free, though? C'mon, he has to be charging them. Even if it's not in money. It's like you're saying. [he nods towards wynn.] He's gotta want something.

Probably not what they're expecting either.

[She's honestly surprised that a jinn has gained that much traction in that end of the world - the Quaran considers jinn both good and bad but magic isn't exactly favored in the Islamic community - at least not her Islamic community.]

Do we know how long he's been operating? Or an idea of how many people he's made deals with?

This seems to be a development over the last month or so, but he's garnered attention very quickly. Beyond that, all our information is based entirely on speculation and distorted tales over social media. I'm afraid nothing more has been confirmed.

Not to be, like, racist or anything -- [ which never precedes anything that isn't racist so. ] Don't they sort of not like women over there?

[ considering she and malina are.. women... ] They banned that Sex in the City movie.

They don't like immodest, disrespectful women.

[Not that she's saying that the movie was disrespectful but immodest? Definitely falls in that territory.]

Just keep an eye on the cleavage and be polite and you will be fine. Though being polite is true for any of us, really.

[alex is like /glances bc he's like idk why you would ever expect me not to be polite, malina. i am a gentleman. anyway.]

[ okay, that makes sense and she trusts malina so, after looking down at her sundress and gently pulling the neck up a little, she just continues listening. ]

That's all we know for certain. I imagine you will unearth more from speaking to the locals.

Sir Harvey will be serving as mission leader.

[Malina nods because that makes sense, given that they're going to the Middle East.]

When do you want us to ship out?

Within the next two days. Prepare anything you may need, and you'll leave from our private airfield then.

[Jordan nods, picking up his notebook once more, his brow creasing in concern at the thought that a Djinn would publicize his powers the way this one had without consequences. If anything, his father should have stepped in by now to silence the rogue, perhaps bring him back to the Labyrinth to re-think his behavior.

The fact that Jareth hadn't interceded was what worried him most. Why? What could hold him back? Nothing that Jordan knew.]

[ apparently dismissed, caroline scoots out of her chair and scoots over to malina. ]

So those pretty headscarves, yae or nay?

[She'll glance over her shoulder at Wanda and nod to her as well.]

I could use one, yeah. [She replies with a nod in return.]

[She nods, before gesturing for Wanda to follow.]

[And she'll give Alex's shoulder a squeeze as she, Caroline and Wanda go.]
