[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of these few months. Because not everyone is into parties, ok. Characters who are not currently squired in may also post, as their characters are living in the castle awaiting their ceremonies.  This takes place after the Knights have returned from Dimitris' wedding. 

You are encouraged to start your own threads and tag around, and feel free to threadjack into any on-going threads that aren't specified as 'closed' in the subject lines since people can enter into rooms even in the middle of what's going on. WE ARE BIG ON THREAD-JACKING HERE. You can also specify 'single thread', meaning you want only one response for all participants, rather than multi-thread, where a number of different scenes/threads can be done as replies to the top prompt.]

[She grunts as his foot connects, a flash of pain as the wind gets knocked out of her but as her lungs fill with air again, a smile pulls wide. Beads of sweat dotting her brow, a trickle winding down her spine as she turns her tender side away from him.]

Yeah, right. We both know that's why you like me. [She comes in hard for the first two blows. (Atk 45, 43. Dmg 25, 15). But the next two go wide as she tries to protect her ribs. Spike too fast for her to make the most of it. (Atk 26, 28.).]

Tired yet?

[bigbad]

[Spike grunts.] Who me? Just getting warmed up. [Not even gonna roll a bluff check for something that's so obviously a lie. Sure, he's not sweating because... vampire, and for the same reason he's not breathing hard, but he's looking a little rough, especially since SOMEONE keeps fake staking him, and he has some pretty clear bruises. He's still grinning, though, as he attacks again, swinging his fists twice, then coming in for another sweeping kick. (atk 34, 24, 34 dmg 18, 16.]

[Yeah and Rose's sense motive was spot on enough that it would have taken one heck of a bluff for him to pull one over on her anyway... and it's probably for the best that they cool things because while Rose might be fairing better than Spike? Those last two hits land hard enough that the pain of them ripple across her features.]

Alright - alright. [Holding a hand up.] I know we could keep going until we kill each other? But I don't heal as fast as you and I have a boyfriend who's gonna grill me about these bruises tonight.

[bigbad]

[Spike tilts his head, considering, then shrugs, dropping his fists.] Suppose we wouldn't want to worry the boy. [He frowns, looking her over.] I didn't leave too many, did I?

[littledhampir]

[Just barely managing to keep the wince from her features as she shrugs one tender shoulder.]

Nothing I can't handle. [Like she'd admit it if it were otherwise. They're both as bad as each other.] Though only because you were light on the kicking.

[He'd done it once and it'd hurt okay.]

[That gets a grin.] Fairly sure I'd've been a bloody smear if I wasn't a vampire. Or if you'd really wanted me dead.

Wouldn't get very far if I went around killing what friends I do have. [Letting out a huff of laughter and immediately regretting it as pain radiates through her ribs.]

We should do this more often.

We should. Gets awful boring only fighting things that are easy to defeat. You, love, are not boring.

Tell me about it. [They're either too easy or actual Tanks. As in. Literal MF Tanks, for all you kids at home.]

Yeah well. [Grinning as she pushes her hair back from her face.] I figured there had to be a reason you liked me. [A beat.] Apart from my winning personality of course.

[bigbad]

Ah, certainly can't forget that bit. [He gives her a grin, somewhere between a smirk and actual caring.] Take care of those aches and bruises, love. Got to keep you fit for when the next bout of actual baddies crops up.
