[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of these few months. Because not everyone is into parties, ok. Characters who are not currently squired in may also post, as their characters are living in the castle awaiting their ceremonies.  This takes place after the Knights have returned from Dimitris' wedding. 

You are encouraged to start your own threads and tag around, and feel free to threadjack into any on-going threads that aren't specified as 'closed' in the subject lines since people can enter into rooms even in the middle of what's going on. Oh - darlin, no. [Gwen quick to try and explain herself.] I'd never for a second think that. I just, I know something about, coming here. Feeling a little...

[She struggles to find the right words at first, in the end deciding on some simple honesty as she leans closer.]

I went from working for a secret organization that dealt with potential alien threats that would come through rifts in space and time - [Not even giving Abbie a moment to wrap her head around that.] And then I wound up here and became a Squire. To say that I felt out of sorts is a dramatic understatement.

[You're speaking her language more than ever, Gwen.]

Sounds a lot like being part of a team that seeks out demons rising up to bring forth the apocalypse. [And then, unexpectedly, ending up here.] I'd say I know exactly how 'out of sorts' that feels.

Had one of those. [The smile on her face too cheeky for the subject matter.] Didn't last, thankfully.

[Abaddon walking through downtown Cardiff while every manner of thing from space and time started dropping through the rift? It was close as they'd ever bloody get to one.]

Well. As somebody who has now been here... five years? [Her smile softens.] It gets easier. [The glimmer back in her eyes.] The credit card certainly helps that's for sure.

Demons though? And here I thought Aliens were unusual. [Opening the door for Abbie to talk more on the subject.]

Always glad to hear that there might be an 'easier' in the future.

[Even if she has to take it with a grain of salt. She never expects anything to be easy-- better to be pleasantly surprised instead, if that's the case.]

And I thought aliens were just in books and movies. [Sort of. She's not against the possibility of their existence, but she's always been more down to earth than that, pun not intended.] Every world seems to have its own set of grisly features.

[Well. The being here got easier. The difficulties in facing what was out there? You got used to it.]

If only. [A huff of laughter spilling over.]

I think Demons is one of the few things we don't have to worry about here... [Except ya know. That they do but Gwen doesn't know that.] Or is that, a common term for, all things suprnatural or something? [Where Abbie is from.]

Most of the supernatural isn't out in the open back home, but my partner and I have been digging in to research it over the last couple of years since demons started appearing in Sleepy Hollow. Demons are just some of what's out there-- there are witches, zombies-- I know I haven't even come close to seeing everything there is, but the more research I do, the more I realize the list is probably damn near endless.
