[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of these few months. Because not everyone is into parties, ok. Characters who are not currently squired in may also post, as their characters are living in the castle awaiting their ceremonies. This takes place after the Knights have returned from Dimitris' wedding.

You are encouraged to start your own threads and tag around, and feel free to threadjack into any on-going threads that aren't specified as 'closed' in the subject lines since people can enter into rooms even in the middle of what's going on. Felicity nods. She's trying not to defend him, but she cares about him. She thought maybe they could have had something. Finally. Years of her waiting for the timing to be right -- and now he's gone. She wants to trust that he'll come back. That it'll all be okay, but it doesn't feel okay. She feels misplaced. Like luggage someone forgot they brought.

"Is there anything I can tell you? Anything you want to know?" Felicity feels like this is the gloves off moment where she can just tell her something and not feel like she's betraying Oliver. Thea is right. He left. He left family. He left her.

"Did Slade Wilson kill my mom because Ollie's the Arrow? Or..?" Was that miraculously unrelated. She holds up her hand, deciding that's not important right now, even though it really is, but something else has occurred to her that makes her stomach flip flop.

"How long did Roy know?"

They're good questions to ask and Felicity nods as she hears them. The first one, it's not as black and white as a 'Yes.' The second would take Felicity trying to think back to the difference between Oliver offering his assistance and Oliver actually revealing who he was.

"Slade Wilson -- he was unstable, bent on revenge and he lashed out at the wrong people. I know Oliver blames himself and that she was there because of who Oliver is, but I -- it's hard for me to shift the blame to it being just because of who Oliver is. Slade deserves the blame for that. His hatred, his desire for revenge. Oliver would say yes. He'd take that blame. I just, it's hard for me to agree."

She knows it's not what Thea wants to hear that hearing Felicity defend Oliver again isn't going to help things.

"Oliver tried to keep his identity away from Roy. For Roy's sake, for your sake -- he offered him help just as the Arrow. He thought it was a way to keep him safer." She tries to think of a pubic event, of something to give herself a timeline of how long Roy had been aware of who the Arrow was.

"Do you remember when Ben Turner escaped from prison*? It wasn't all over the news, but it did break into the headlines. There had been a bomb. Roy was there with the Arrow, offering support -- but Oliver needed him, he needed him to focus and help him so he had to get his attention and so he showed him who he was."

She'd known he was the Arrow's sidekick, it was the straw that broke the camel's back and sent her running away to her father, but knowing that he was Oliver's sidekick makes her chest hurt. How many times had he lied to her, how many times had they both lied to her. Oliver had attacked their mother! Thea was repeatedly kidnapped because of him.

If he was trying to protect her, he failed at every single turn.

Her lips press into a line, shoulders steeling against the way her breath speeds up, threatening the beginning of hyperventilation but really just keeping Thea's anger bottled up. And, god, she's so angry. How many times had she apologized to him for lying or being a bitch or being a disappointment when he spent all of his time lying to her, making her boyfriend lie to her?

"I don't want to hear anything else."

Felicity listens to her and nods, "Okay. I'm good with your choice." She knows that it's a lot, that having it all pile up on top of her is more than a lot, it's an insurmountable amount. That Oliver should be here, he should be the one trying to make sense of his selfish actions.

"I'm here, though, Thea. If you want to know anything. If you need anything. Without him here, I'm --" She draws her lips into a tight line, trying not to think about it, because while he left her -- he also left his sister.

"You're about the closest thing I have to family here and not that my mom is always the greatest, because she can be nosy and overbearing, but I don't want Oliver's selfish actions to be the only thing you see when you look at me."

Oliver's selfish actions were all she could see when she looked at Felicity, but then she says that Thea is the closest thing to her family and while it hurts, because her family isn't there, Felicity is. Felicity stayed. And Felicity braved the wrath of Oliver's little sister to tell her the truth.

"Thanks." She finds she has to swallow past a lump in her throat, blinking rapidly against the wetness in her eyes. "Just keep being honest with me, okay?"

Felicity nods, "Of course, Thea. Always."

She knows that no matter what happens, she's not going to make the same mistake. Thea is in a way her family and she isn't going to lose that, too.

"Cool."

Maybe not the right answer, but this has been a lot. A lot in a very short amount of time and she is struggling.

"I could use a beer, wanna grab one with me?"

Felicity exhales and nods with relief, "Yes. I might want something a little stronger."

Thea cracks a weak smile, looking down at the hozen on the floor for a moment before bending to snatch it up. Maybe she'll just hold on to this for a bit longer.

And throw it at Ollie's face.

"Something stronger would probably be better," she admits before moving down the hall toward one of the bars. Maybe a few something strongers. "Let's go."

And off they go to drink their feelings.
