[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of these few months. Because not everyone is into parties, ok. Characters who are not currently squired in may also post, as their characters are living in the castle awaiting their ceremonies.  This takes place after the Knights have returned from Dimitris' wedding. 

You are encouraged to start your own threads and tag around, and feel free to threadjack into any on-going threads that aren't specified as 'closed' in the subject lines since people can enter into rooms even in the middle of what's going on. There's only so many times you can you almost die in a day before you need five fucking minutes to yourself.

[When's the last time she'd taken a vacation back home, anyway? Seems like never. Maybe the day after never.]

Wynn seems to be good about that-- letting people take breaks as needed.

Well, it's not a cult, no matter how much it looks like one from the outside. We're free to go whenever.

Guess I'm used to being a workaholic. Can't remember the last time I allowed myself a vacation, even before this place.

[bittersweeter]

My dad was the same way. Somehow vacations turned into business trips. [ she thinks. it feels right, even if she can't remember it all. ]

[leftenants]

I'm sure he didn't mean to leave you with that impression, for what it's worth. Coming from a self-professed workaholic, it can be hard to see how a narrow focus can effect the people around you.

I disappeared for three years and he stopped looking for me, so. I know how important business is to my dad.

[leftenants]

Shit.

[Abbie feels like she should have known better than to be optimistic, having had an absent father herself.]

You're not kidding.

It's whatever, he subsequently felt so guilty when I reappeared he let me do whatever I want so. [ she waves her hand dismissively, letting it fall to idly stroke snowflake's head. ]

[Talk about putting a good spin on things-- or dismissive spin. Whichever.

God, this got real personal real fast.]

Good outlook. [It's not unlike the silver lining she'd sought out after her father abandoned the family.] Hope you milked that for a good long while.
