[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of these few months. Because not everyone is into parties, ok. Characters who are not currently squired in may also post, as their characters are living in the castle awaiting their ceremonies. This takes place after the Knights have returned from Dimitris' wedding.

You are encouraged to start your own threads and tag around, and feel free to threadjack into any on-going threads that aren't specified as 'closed' in the subject lines since people can enter into rooms even in the middle of what's going on. WE ARE BIG ON THREAD-JACKING HERE. You can also specify 'single thread', meaning you want only one response for all participants, rather than multi-thread, where a number of different scenes/threads can be done as replies to the top prompt.]

Rory nods in agreement as he makes his way into the computer lab, scanning the room for a moment and then glancing back to Cisco. The curse of being a new guy is that you don't really know how things work.

"There isn't a password or anything is there? Do you need to sign up or something?"

Cisco pauses from his tippety-typing to pull the twizzler from his mouth and look up at the guy. "Username is first initial last name, password is SilverDragon16, capital S, capital D. You can change it once you log in for the first time."

From the fact he had to ask, Cisco ventures, "You new here too?"

Rory nods in agreement as he makes his way to one of the other nearby computers to put that in before he forgets. He's not far enough away to discourage conversation, but enough that it doesn't seem like he's trying to get in Cisco's space.

"Yeah, I just joined." He types in the username and password and brightens when it works. Yay technology. "I got taken hostage by a troll, and apparently the knights who were called in liked the way I handled myself."

Cisco chuckles, hitting pause on his music and pulling out his earbud, apparently fully invested in the conversation, even though his gaze goes back to his screen.

"I got cornered by a couple of snake people from the sewers. Crazy world, right?"

He nods in agreement. "Not much crazier than mine, though. I used to be friends with a time traveling alien."

His tone always tends to make him sound more sarcastic than he already is, but he's actually not being that sarcastic. Time traveling aliens are very much a thing in Rory's word, and the experiences he's had while working with that alien make him nearly ideal for the knighthood, even if he doesn't realize that yet.

That earns a slow nod from Cisco, along with some raised brows. Sure, his world had metas and speedsters but... "Aliens. That's new."

Not the time traveling part, though. That's an old headache.

Cisco once again pauses his typing to push his rolly chair over to the guy and hold out a hand for a shake. "I'm Cisco."

"Rory." He reaches forward and shakes his hand with a nod and a small smile. "Pleasure. Though I feel like I'm going to have to take notes to keep everyone's name straight. This place is huge."

And that's putting it lightly. Rory's seen a TARDIS, he knows huge.

Cisco grins and nods. "I know, right? We should wear name tags. I'm already having to make flashcards to remember the whole Dragon's Hoard, Light, whatever thing."

Star Labs was pretty big back before the accelerator blew, but it didn't have a staff anything like this.

"Light's the one I've been paying attention to the most." Being a nurse, that is probably going to be his thing. "But I met knights from a lot of different sects when I was recruited so we're probably going to have to work with all of them."

"Probably. I'm still not a hundred percent on how the delineations fall out, but I'm figuring I'll get the hang of it, and end up in Hoard eventually." Since that's the one that seemed most likely to fit someone of his talents.

He nods in agreement. "Hoard, that's scientists, right? Kind of like the Q's of the knighthood?" The only reason Rory knows that reference is because his wife has a Thing about James Bond. He doesn't really follow the movies beyond that.

Cisco points and grins. "Got it in one. I'm a gadgets guy, an engineer." Sure, he's got some sort of psychic something going on with his vibe powers, but that's not where his real skills lie.

"Cool," he says with a grin. "I spent some time traveling with a friend once and my favorite part was always the new technology. Some places have really amazing advances in medical care."

Never mind that his travel involved traveling in time and space. The statement wasn't even a lie, really.

"Medical care, huh? Are you a doctor?" Just a guess, but if that's where Rory's first thought goes, it makes some sense. "My best friend back home is a doctor."

"Nurse, actually." Which most people would probably consider a step down from "doctor" but Rory seems comfortable in it. He likes being there for his patients without having to be entirely clinical about his medical knowledge. "Not as fancy as a doctor, but I like it."

Cisco just nods, making no judgement on the concept of a male nurse. "Whatever works for you, man."

It doesn't get as much judgement as it used to, but he'll still get side-long looks every now and then. Especially when they've gotten a look at his wife first. "What about you? You said you were looking at the Hoard, yeah?"

"Yeah." He fiddles with the cord on his headphones a bit. "I'm an engineer. I build tech, back home. Used to work for this place called STAR Labs." Still does, sort of, except now it's less about the Labs and more about helping Team Flash.

"STAR Labs?" His eyebrows go up a bit at that. "Did you do space travel too? Or just engineering?" Not that the two are mutually exclusive, but there's a difference between general engineering and the kind you need for space travel.

"Oh, yeah, no." Cisco corrects him. "Scientific and Technological Advanced Research Labs. Not, like..." He makes a hand motion like a rocket taking off, complete with accompanying P-CHEWWWW noises. "We did-- we do some pretty advanced stuff, but no space travel."

"Ah," he nods once because it's a shame. He keeps hoping that humanity will catch up with the Time Lords in his lifetime, but that's a position that's seeming less and less likely as time goes on. "I traveled with an alien with a time machine once. There's so many amazing things out there - I'm always curious if other worlds have the same thing."

Cisco nods in sympathy. "Nah, no aliens on my Earth. Plenty of metahumans, and a little time travel in places, but no aliens."

Honestly, he's not sure what they'd do in the face of aliens.

"It's probably for the best. Time travel is way more complicated than it looks." It certainly has complicated Rory's life far more than he would have ever liked, as amazing as it is. "So are aliens."

"What kind of aliens did you deal with? 'We come in peace' grey men or like... 'Take us to your leader' eight foot tall monstrosities?"

He's genuinely curious.

"Well, to be honest there weren't a lot of grey men that weren't made of metal," he leans back in his chair as he considers all the aliens he's met in his time. "To be honest, really, most of them were ... human. Or humaniod, at least."
