[ According to their mission dossier, while Bogdanovich is a certified genius, he's also a bit of a flake.  They'll have to make certain that he doesn't get into any trouble or wander off, while keeping an eye out for potential kidnappers or spies who might be after his research.

In order to avoid drawing attention to his arrival, Wynn says that they've arranged to meet him at the baggage claim inside the airport.  The file contains a photograph of the professor as well.  ]

[ she frowns deeply at stiles' words, glancing down the luggage belt.

"I want to see the luggage tag," she acquiesces, looking a little less ruffled about someone seemingly stealing her bag, at least. "Simon, bring it here so we can look at the luggage tags."

the man in the pinstriped suit from earlier, who stiles had presumed to be an undercover cop begins striding purposefully forward towards kenzi, kyomi, and the professor, reaching inside his coat as he does so to draw something out... anyone with a 15+ spot check can notice the movement. ]

[ With an 18, Skye spots it as she heads over, so she takes one for the team and deliberately bumps into pinstriped guy over there. No real violence in the force, just enough to cause a spill (unarmed attack 24 ? ?? ? 26 if it can be a charge) ]

Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry. [ She holds her hands out in immediate fauxpology, attempting to distract him from the task so they can just ... leave with it (bluff 21). ]

[ skye successfully barrels into the man in a suit, and what he was reaching for clatters to the floor - and seems to be some sort of badge, that lands facedown. he shoots her an irritated look, one hand moving to his waist as if to make certain something is still there beneath his jacket.

"Beg pardon," he says brusquely.

regina, meanwhile, looks disgusted by all of this hubbub and strides quickly forward towards the professor, lifting a hand and flicking her wrist in the direction of the chauffeur as subtly as she can (sleight of hand 20), a dazed look coming over his face as his hands drop and he stares into space for a few seconds. ] Let's get this over with.

[ the moment skye plows into the pinstripe suited man, however, the nervous looking guy darts forward in a sprint right past regina ... but trips on the badge and goes skidding wildly forward, slamming into the side of the baggage carousel beside kyomi and kenzi with a loud, painful BANG as he crumples to the ground. the professor's eyebrows climb up and he mutters: "Oh dear." ]

Well, this is going lovely. [Kyomi goes to... check on the poor bloke that just crashed into the carousel. (treat injury 10 to see if he's unconscious?? i guess she just... lightly picks up his wrist)]

Taxi! [Look somebody had to do it...

Kenzi moves forward to 'assist Kyomi' when in reality she's picking his pocket in case he's concealing a weapon or has anything that might tell them what they're dealing with. (SOH... Nat 20 which is overkill seeing as her mod is +20 anyway but sure. Why not. Being sketchy like a boss.]

[ he is out cold by the way his wrist flops back down, and kenzi draws a small knife out of his pocket. with simon dazed, the professor leans down to check the baggage tag and frowns at it, saying quite loudly: "I don't believe this is actually mine after all..." he goes to pick it up and turn towards the carousel, presumably to go put it back.

the woman, upon hearing this, raises her hand and points at the bag, protesting to stiles. "He said it's not his!" she shifts her attention around him to the chauffeur. "I told you to grab my bag, Simon. Why are you just standing around with your thumb up your ass? Can't get good help these days..." ]

Here- let me. [Stiles gives the professor a slightly annoyed look at his flip flopping about his own damn bag. So he'll just go to grab the bag and take a look at the luggage tag. Just in case.]

[ the luggage tag reads 'eunice van hoskins' actually.

there's a slight moan from the man on the ground, who begins to stir after kyomi drops his wrist, although it's going to take him awhile. ]

[ Skye grabs for the presumable badge and turns it over as she raises it to hand it up to pinstriped guy. ]

Here. You dropped — ... this. [ cop? ? ?? oh man that means she's stopping the wrong person. ]

[ the badge actually reads US Securities and Exchange Commission, and has the name 'Larabee Hosquith' on it. he reaches for the badge, frowning at her.

"Thank you," he says brusquely, before going to push past her, raising a hand towards stiles. "I need to see the contents of that bag, sir." ]

Go right ahead. [ regina says pointedly, after stepping next to stiles and also reaching for the name tag, gripping it and then dropping it with annoyance when she reads the name and turning her attention back to the turnstile, where more bags are coming around, but none of the same description ]

Well, this is a bloody clusterfuck, innit?

[she leaves the unconscious man alone, and observes the man with the badge as he goes to take the other bag, more curious about that than her... actual job. ooooh somebody might be in trouble~

she trades a glance with Skye, like "this should be interesting."]

And when you finish with her bag, maybe you could look into this guy? [Holding out the knife like it's a smelly sock and not a weapon as she nudges the dude on the floor with her shoe.]

This fell out of his pocket and I'm pretty sure that's frowned on in Airports. [Bluff 44.]

[ the professor has turned entirely away from the bizarre scene, and is pointing at bags as they go back, as if to mentally check off the ones that are pointedly not his. eunice, however, protests as the officer goes to open her bag.

"I beg your pardon, but I don't see what business you have rifling through my belongings, Officer." ]

[Stiles is still mildly interested in what is in this bag because... he's a nosy teenager, pretty much. The professor seems to have eyes on the prize for his own bag, so Stiles takes a small step towards the old rich lady.]

I'm sure it's a routine security thing. Can't be too safe these days, right? Especially with weapons around. [He nods in the direction of the knife (diplomacy 36).]

[ she sniffs, but doesn't say much more, glancing over stiles' shoulder as larabee starts removing the contents:

he reaches inside and removes several pieces of clothing, handing them over to the waiting simon, who gathers them up in his arms. he digs out a small case, flicking it open to reveal some moderately expensive looking, tastelessly gaudy brooches, rings, and necklaces. eunice reaches a hand out over stiles' shoulder, pointing in annoyance. "Don't lose those, young man." larabee looks up at her blankly, before snapping the case shut in annoyance. ]

Checks out. I suppose.

[ Mildly annoyed to have wasted everyone here's time, Skye looks from Kyomi to the professor. ]

Are you sure you're thinking of the right bag?

I'm not sure we can trust his opinion on much of anything. [ regina's comment is half mumbled, as the professor scratches his temple slowly, staring out at the conveyor belt while the man on the ground finally brings himself to a slow sitting position, a palm pressed to his forehead.

it's at that moment, however, that two more identical bags matching the description make their way around the rotunda. the professor raises his hand to point at the first one.

"Of course! It's right there." ]

[Kyomi looks... so pressed.] ...Oh bloody hell. Was there a sale on those bags? [she goes to grab the the first one working its way out and gestures to Skye to get the other.]

Dude I totally saw this on TV once. [Oh yeah she crit failed her Wis check.] Somebody pays people to all carry the same bag so they can steal the one with the money in it and get away in the confusion.

[ kyomi gets her hands on one of the bags, and the professor steps up beside her to grab the other. eunice makes her way around larabee, snapping up her bag again with a huff. "I told you, didn't I?" she snaps her fingers at simon, whose arms are still laden with all her shit.

kenzi, however, notices something... unusual, at that very moment.

a young woman with shoulder-length blonde hair, dressed in faded jeans, a belly shirt, and generic sneakers, breaks into the crowd surrounding the carousel. she is carrying a bag identical to the others. ]



Help! [ she looks over her shoulder frantically ] Help! My boyfriend is going to hit me again!

[ about twenty paces behind her runs an overweight greasy-haired man whose face is set in a murderous scowl. he's shaking her fist in her general direction. ]

[With the current bags being picked up, Stiles is just checking his phone and hoping they can get home to watch Dancing with the Stars. This airport visit is getting kinda weird. But he's pretty oblivious because I was asked to roll a spot check and it was abysmal soooo he's reading tweets or something right now.]

[ larabee moves to step in between the woman, who pushes behind him and stiles, and the angry man, although he seems a bit reticent about confronting the man. ]

Whoa, whoa. Let's all calm down a moment...

Grab all of them.

[ Skye directs that suggestion at Regina and Kyomi, figuring that she and the others can at least handle the distraction in the meantime instead of splitting their focus. Then she pulls out her phone and starts video recording the feuding couple. ]

[ regina goes to scoop up the other bag, looking disgruntled about the manual labor component of all this. the blonde girl squirms further behind skye and co, as the angry man looks utterly baffled at the camera phone in his face for a moment, before he affixes skye with a frustrated glare. "I ain't her bleeding boyfriend! I drive cab, and she stiffed me!" he points back towards the doors, where indeed, a spot check of 15+ will see that a cab is parked. an airport policeman is currently affixing a ticket to the window. "She owes me seventy-five pounds, she does!"

meanwhile, the man who has come to on the ground glances about and sees the blonde woman's bag swinging close nearby... a spot of 26 will be enough to notice him get to his feet and slip behind her, reaching for the handle while her attention is caught up on the angry dude. ]

[action points did not love Kyomi today, so she does not see that shit happening, clearly focused on taking the bag and observing the Jerry Springer situation mounting around the carousel.]

Can we all just talk about this like sane, rational adults? And perhaps not in front of sodding Bagland.
