♬ Jeux d'eau - Ravel
WHO || Wynn, any and all Knights not currently on missions (if you are uncertain if your character would be at the castle for this, ask!)ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.
WHAT || Squiring Ceremony Afterparty
WHERE || Knights Headquarters, the Ballroom
WHEN || July 1st, 2016, 6:00PM [backdated]
HOW || Prose OR Actionspam
The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).
The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.
Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.
Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

It's a big shocker to not have face meet floor, more surprised than anything when she looks up at him. ]
Oh yeah, don't worry about it. I'm just amazed I made it through the actual ceremony without doing that. [ She gives a soft huff brushing a stray piece of blonde hair out of her eyes before giving him a smile. ] Sorry, I'm still not really sure how all of this works. I'm Cassie, by the way. Thanks for the save.

[He gives her a small smile in return.]
Welcome to the Knights.

[ On the upside, the food was good and the company was nice. No complaints from her. ]
How long have you been with them? I mean, you seem pretty chill about this whole thing. [ Given his wardrobe. ]

[And he makes a bit of a face at himself.]
I usually don't dress this ... casual.

[ And a reminder of that whole still coming to terms with being here rather than home thing. It's fine, everything's fine. She gives a little shrug, a corner of her lip curling up into a smirk. ]
I'm kind of something of a rock star at being inappropriately dressed for situations, don't worry about it. Although, after three years? I think you can definitely dress however you want at these shindigs.

Probably true, but it's usually better for morale if you're just as uncomfortable as the new squires. At least in terms of your choice of fashion.

Besides, fashion is overrated. Except for shoes because good shoes are forever as long as they don't have ankle straps.

I couldn't agree more. Except for the shoes part - I don't really have an opinion on those one way or another.

It's not important. I doubt most people are wearing heels when they go out missions or whatever. Unless it's required.
no subject
[They sucked.]
Also some knights are more comfortable in heels. I've worked with a knight who is pretty much always in them.

[ Granted, no one should put her in charge of speaking or leading any sort of charge that required tact since speaking her mind was kind of a default. Just like being a magnet for trouble. ]
I'd hate to see that particular skill-set get rusty.

No, that is definitely one that will never go to waste.
