The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

Okay, but I gotta ask- are there leprechauns there. We've sorta figured out that there's weirdness everywhere on this side of the Veil, but I have not scratched leprechauns off my Shadowkind bingo card.

I'm not from this side of the Veil, but there sure as fuck weren't any leprechauns back where I'm from, love. That's a bunch of rubbish. Fuckin' leprechauns, can you imagine?

Not the most rubbish thing that's turned out to be real. [Though to be fair, a lot of the things he's thinking of aren't real on this side of the Veil. In Gravity Falls they have a whole lot of real rubbish.] Ever seen a leprecorn? It's like a leprechaun crossed with a unicorn and they're supposed to be very irritating.

[Dipper hasn't actually ever come across one, but his source has never let him down before.]

No, it totally is. Here. [she runs over to a table and grabs a napkin, pulls a pen out of her brother's pocket, because she knows he has one and proceeds to begin sketching, using Dipper's back as her easel. it's clear they do this all the time.

[Dipper bares all of this patiently. He could point out that he has a book with more information and a scientific drawing, but honestly he doesn't like this Nathan guy enough to talk about Journal 3 with him, and anyway, he left it in his room. None of the information in it has been relevant since they went through the veil, so he only holds onto it out of sentimentality. He never did figure out who the Author of the Journals was, but he still feels like they had a connection. If they had met, maybe Dipper would have gotten to experience talking to someone who actually understood him.]

Let's just say coming through the Veil actually was a step down in weirdness. Tiny golf ball people don't live in mini-golf courses, video game characters rarely come to life, and none of the gnomes have tried to marry Mabel. It's almost boring.

There was a definite lack of masturbating giraffes in Gravity Falls, and if there were any, we probably wouldn't have been told about it. We were twelve.

It was in Oregon. Climate's not really right for giraffes anyway. Besides in zoos, I guess.

I won my lemur from a zoo in a game of craps. His name's Barry. He loves cheeseburgers. Or any burger, I'd reckon. Especially In-n-Out, but they don't have that shit here.
