The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[Lorne looks about the same as always: a bright blue suit and expensive-looking Italian shoes, with his hair purposefully mussed (Disguise 14). He has a drink in his hand when he's approached by Mabel, Dipper in tow, and happens to be turning away from another conversation he's just finished as Mabel offers introductions.

Lorne flashes a winsome smile in reply-- the parties are one of his favorite parts of the Knighthood, as well, and he's glad to see someone else getting into the spirit of things.]

Pleasure to meet the both of you, honeybuns. Always good to see new faces around here! I'm Lorne.

[He offers one very green hand to shake, whichever of them wants to grab hold of it first.]

[Mabel takes his hand and shakes it, examining his hand as she does so.] Whoa baby. I want the name of the person who does your manicures.

[Meanwhile, Dipper is staring. He always thinks he'll start getting used to all the different shadowkind races, and in some ways he's right! But still, he's never seen anything quite like this particular being.]

...what are you?

[That's rude. Even Dipper knows that's rude, and he's a rude person on his best days. He grimaces and tries again.] I mean, nice to meet you.

[In Dipper's defense, Lorne stands out more than a lot of Shadowkind seem to. Green is pretty difficult to ignore.]
