The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

Ya know, I'm surprised Wynn didn't just Squire you two as a package deal. Don't think I've seen you apart since New York. [JS. She's noticed. Adding to Dipper;] You got stuck with me, I'm afraid.

[He shrugs a shoulder.] We were always close, then we got hurdled into a new world where we didn't know anyone but each other. We stick together. [And it hasn't always been easy to make that happen, which only makes them stick together harder.]

So they gave both of us to people on that mission. [A beat.] I got the better end of that stick, sorry, Mabel.

Rude. Alice isn't so bad, even if she didn't shoot out the tires of a car. [she shoves him, laughing.] They probably sensed you're easily distracted by redheads, anyway, and I had to fall on that ginger grenade... gingernade.

[Given how old they were when they came through? Probably not feeling that lucky.

Redheads, huh? [She can already tell Mabel is going to be a good source of information.] Please, tell me more.

[she holds her hand up to her mouth conspiratorially and leans closer to Frankie.] It's never just one. [sorry, brother.] However, I will say he has matured significantly, so it's not as unfortunate as it used to be.

[She's known Dipper all of five minutes and she already knows he won't be able to limit it to Twenty Questions.]
