Just as before, accessing the secret room where the Round Table is housed requires using the Knight's keycard to open the glass case beside the mural of the War in Heaven, located across from the ballroom entrance. Using the fire extinguisher as a lever to activate the "door" mechanism reveals the long torch-lit hall plastered in artwork depicting the Knight's history. The tenants of the Knighthood hang large and foreboding over the doors at the end of the hall, which stand open to reveal the brightly lit Round Table, and the majestic crystalline dragon statue presiding over it.

Come in, find a seat, meet your teammates if you haven't already somehow.

[Shawn makes his way into the Round Table room with a pineapple smoothie in one hand and drumming out a beat against his chest with the other. Since he's the first one there he slides easily into a seat on the far side of the table, before placing the smoothie down on top of it, giving him two hands to drum to.

And he's probably just going to keep doing that until someone stops him.]

[ thea strides in with her own drink -- a black and white milkshake -- and can't help smiling when she spots shawn rocking out. ]

Lemme guess, [ she starts, settling down in a seat. ] John C. Reilly's solo from Stepbrothers? Or... Ringo's solo from the End. He's so underrated.

[ Sebastian looked hung over as he made his way in, his hands buried in the pockets of his trench coat. He took a seat propping his feet up in another chair. He didn't feel like being social today, but he would never skip out when Wynn called for him. ]

[ Dawn wanders her way in, though the music she's blaring through her headphones precedes her. She bounces with each step before dropping into an unoccupied chair. Out of politeness, she switches off the music and pulls the earbuds free, then takes a long drink out of the Starbucks cup she carried in. ]

[Fortunately for Sebastian, he's going to stop drumming when Thea engages him directly.]

What is?

[ Oblivious, party of one right here. She takes that moment to look around and realize she... knows none of these people. ]

His Ringo Starr impersonation. [ she lifts her milkshake to shawn like leonardo dicaprio toasting him. ]

[ indra wanders in and then pauses in the doorway, taking in all these shakes and starbucks cups with confusion on her features ] I am in the right place for the briefing, yes?

[Shawn flashes Indra another grin as well.]

[Taradiddle slides in, glancing around, and clambers up into a chair.] ...am I late?

Nope. [ Dawn bends her knees, pulling her feet up into the seat with her. ] I think it only counts as late if Wynn's here before you. And he totally isn't here yet.

[ Sebastian is just glaring at everyone from behind his shades.]

[ indra takes a seat near shawn, as wynn heads in after taradiddle, making his way around the table ] Thank you all for coming.

[Shawn flashes Wynn a grin as he resettles to address their leader.]

What have we got, boss? A minotaur in Myanmar? A goblin in Dublin?

[Does he feel the unnecessary need to rhyme? Apparently yes.]

[ thea snorts into her milkshake, trying (and failing) to compose her expression into something resembling serious neutrality. ]

[ Hung over or not, Sebastian snorts amused and snaps his fingers to point at Shawn.]

[ Dawn is biting her lip so hard to stifle her laugh. ]

It's totally not a minotaur, right? Please, no mythological but actually real creatures.

During the 18th century, a young elf mage called Nieulor came through the Veil into our world. He landed in France and was promptly arrested and placed in the Bastille, striped of his belongings. When the Bastille was stormed, he was set free along with the other prisoners.

For years he has been searching for the items the French authorities took from him. Through his research, he managed to trace one item -- an onyx dog figure -- to a French duke who spent years studying it's power, eventually writing a manuscript: Le Chien de l'Oynx -- Sa Fonction et Son Origine Mysterieuses.

Very few copies were printed and barely a handful survive.

Nieulor's most recent research has led him to a man in Cape Town, Vincent Lastrode who has purchased both the onyx dog and the manuscript at separate auctions. Nieulor has contacted us for help in retrieving his possession. He will further brief you when you've arrived.

[ Sebastian sat up more listening, smirking a bit despite his headache because this sounded cool.]
