A several year operation investigating a Consortium known as PTC run by a mysterious man - now revealed to be a ogre - named Estavan has led to the discovery that he made a a business deal with a trio of demons. To no one's surprise, that did not end well, and Estavan has asked the Knights for help in setting things right. Estavan has asked the Knights to head to his warehouse in London and keep the creatures busy while he goes to meet with the Consortium's Ruling Council to find a way to take care of them. While Phineas, the Doctor, Val'drin, and Alec stay behind to clean things up at Estavan's home, Cordelia and Kate phone for back-up to meet them downtown at the warehouse.

They meet up in the warehouse district of the city, outside the large building.  There are several empty trucks parked out in the lot, but otherwise, no visible lights on, and only one door set in the side of it, and a few closed heavy loading doors.

[Apparently it's the swarm of spores that causes Kate to snap out of her stunned state, and she immediately tries to shoot the thing again, using her double tap feat on the first shot (attack 23 (14 + 11 - 2), damage 12 if it hits), and then throwing in one more shot for good measure (attack 17, damage 9 if that hits).]

[Since Topher critfailed, he's still pretty Shook, so for flavor he just kinda stands there looking a little bit overwhelmed and being a useless boy.]

[ instead of spurring her on like the hulk, being attacked by spores throws astrid off her game as she tries to shoot back. (atk 18, 4 dmg) ]

[ the spores begin to dig into her skin, dealing another point of damage. cordelia fires after it again (atk 23), still missing it. the vrock screeches again, wheeling around and attempts to cast charm person on topher (will save DC 12) ]

[keeps a close eye on the damn thing as he keeps himself ready to intercept.]

[And Kate's just going to keep trying to shoot at it, because this thing really needs to die (attack nat 20, damage 20, attack 19).]

[HE ROLLED A NINE. THIS FIGHT IS OUT TO GET TOPHER.

That vrock sure is cool.]

[ when you're being slowly murdered by spores and Not Feeling It anymore: an astrid madchen story. she fires again. (atk 11 dmg 9 (lol)) ]

[ the spores continue to dig in, doing 2 more damage at tiny growths begin to appear on her skin as kate lands a shot right between its eyes. with a horrified squawk, it slams into the stack of crates and crashes through them.

... Is it over?

[Or at least that's Topher's immediate reaction to Astrid shooting at his NEW BEST FRIEND, but then it's dead and he's just blinking in shock.]

Wait... What?

Get your shit together, Topher. [ she turns back to look at astrid, who still has... growths forming all over her ] Wow, I'm glad that wasn't me.

[Poor Astrid. Kate glances over and looks sympathetic, but she doesn't have anything on her that can fix something like that - she doesn't feel like a healing potion would do the trick.]

We should get you to a cleric.

[ it's at that point that one of the doorways floating a little ways above their heads opens, and out steps the tall ogre mage - estavan, still dressed in his impeccable suit.

"Well, well," he says, stepping out into the air and literally floating down to where they stand, glancing about and seeing the felled body of the vrock. "It seems you all did your job marvelously." ]

And I take it you took care of your end?

[Please tell her this horror show is over and they can return to the real world now.]

[ he nods casually, and flicks a hand in the air. several of the little blue creatures make their way over with a forklift, which they use to lift the bodies.

"I prevailed with the Council, and all this sordid affair now lies behind us," he says, adding to the creatures: "Pack them up and ship them through the special doorway, please." he turns back to them with a smile. "Thank you so much for your assistance. I promise to make a sizable donation to the Knighthood for their held in this matter." ]

I'm sure our boss will appreciate it.

[And since it's hard to tell if "packing them up" means the bodies or the knights, she'll just ... clarify:]

Now, which doorway sends us back to London?

[pathology]

[ astrid is going through a lot right now. she's dying via spore things, kate just said let's find a cleric, which is one of the most insulting things that could ever be said to her face, and meanwhile fuckin ogre dude is just carrying along like everything is just peachy keen. EVERYONE IS ACTING LIKE EVERYTHING IS FINE. ]

WHAT!! ABOUT!! ME!!!

[allaboutme]

[ that certainly draws his attention, and he frowns as the spores continue to... pop growths on her and pluck away at her hit points slowly.

"Oh dear. Fiends are unpleasant, aren't they? Perhaps you'd prefer a doorway right into the hospital?" ]

You think?

[ cordelia folds her arms, unimpressed as well. estavan gestures to a door above, and it comes whizzing down towards them, parking itself on the ground beside them. "Yes, I believe that will do." ]

I have it together! Eesh. It's been a really bad day. [And Astrid's is worse, so he'll go over and kind of try to awkwardly help her up, though he's trying to avoid touching the spores... sorry, Astrid, but no one wants your fiend herpes. :(]

[Kate nods to Estavan, before moving with Topher to help Astrid and leading the way out the door to the hospital.]

cordelia rolls her eyes when he's not looking, but also heads with them towards the door. ]

Wynn better give us the biggest bonus.
