The Knights are met by the sun elf curator of the exhibit at the Gallery in Sao Paulo, a golden skinned man named Elluin, who wears an expensively tailored suit with a skinny black tie, his long white hair tied up in a man bun. Yep. He walks them to the place where the piece had been on the wall, now vacant. A balustrade blocks off the area from the public, and a small placard hangs beside the blank space.

"It is the strangest thing. The pages were actually tacked to the wall in place of the painting. There can be no doubt that they were left on purpose."

[She glances over at Poe again.] Sparkly things held in the hand and waved around cheerfully. Usually at sporting events, attractive women in tight uniforms use them, while preforming athletic feats. [Context in case Poe has ever caught a game on TV.] You can leave that last part out of any mental images of me with pop poms here. But yeah, those are what those are.

[He frowns, why are they talking about Pom Poms instead of trying to figure out this whole... weird unsolvable mission.]

Does anyone know anyone in the black market for art? I mean, maybe we shouldn't be trying to solve the who stole it part and instead just try to find the painting. [If only his nefarious dealings had been closer to the art world instead of foreign and domestic intelligence.]

[ amy ignores natasha because... no. instead she focuses on ward who is still the mvp and peter because he is rolling with her lol what happens if we fail train. ]

I don't know anything about stolen art. I don't even know anything about art.

[ but while they are here and because amy is fidgety in nature, she is just gonna rifle through the curator's desk. (search 26, disable device with a hair pin if it's locked 28) look, this is her niche. ]

Oh hey, M&Ms! [ peter literally reaches over her shoulder when she opens the drawer (which is locked - momentarily, but springs open within seconds). he grabs the pack of them without hesitation. there are desk supplies in here mostly, but also a few sealed letters, mostly from other museums. ]

[ GONNA OpEN 'EM. (sleight of hand 22) amy tries to carefully open the flap with her fingernail without ripping it. ]

oh for the love of god i lost this completely and forgot about it

[Miles, who is completely useless in all of this, calls to Peter-]

Oh man, can I get a few of those?

We gotta dispatch 'em quick before that guy comes back. [ he'll dump a bunch in miles' hand. they are gr8 at this.

meanwhile, amy gets it open without ripping, but the glue has been unstickified. a few of them are about exhibit transfers, and one of them is a letter from a curator of a museum in Spain, thanking him for sharing security details with them as they work to redesign their system. ]

[ amy pulls her phone out and quickly snaps pictures of the letters, passing her phone to grant before carefully tucking the letters back into the envelopes and returning them to the drawer as neatly as she can. ]

I am working as fast as I can.

[because candy is obviously a priority, and he's also useless at the moment.]

I meant-- [ he starts to explain to amy, pointing a finger down at the dwindling pile in his hand which he tilts to dump a few into poe's palm ] Never mind.

[He knocks back half of the m&ms in one go before he wanders over to watch what Amy's doing.]

Anything good in there?

What are the odds that one of those letters is from the guy who stole the stuff?

They're about exhibit transfers, but there's one about sharing security plans with another museum.

Wow, not suspicious at all.

I think we found a clue. There wouldn't happen to be a detailed return address for where the writer of that letter is we can go to, is there?

[ there is, actually! ]

Yeah, it's written to a museum in Spain, but there is a return address for the sender as well. [ gathering her phone back, amy... googles it to see where it is. computer use 10 she's so average i'm cry. ]

[ it doesn't show up. and just then the door opens and it's mr. elf.

"Have you come to any conclusions?" ]

[betrayed]

[Ward had been glancing through the photos on the phone that Amy handed him, but he gives it back to her easily. It's pointing pretty obviously toward the notion that they have to go check out this other museum. Possibly without giving that other museum a heads up. Possibly without giving this guy a heads up, in case he's in on it.]

Not that I think. I mean, it's like you said pretty much.

[he could be in on this and playing innocent. Let's not give away the clue guys, right?!]

[ amy gets what poe is putting down immediately and it's kind of heartening that they're all on the same page. ]

Exactly. We're going to go back to our hotel and brainstorm but. [ she shrugs helplessly. ]

[starprince]

Yeah, guess it sucks to be you guys. [ the elf looks at him a little strangely, but peter starts to push past, and he moves aside to let them through.

"Well. In that case, I imagine you will... keep us updated on any progress." ]
