Hasmed's announcement does not brook any rebuttal: all Knights are recalled to the Castle, where they must remain until the Section Heads and Jack Chessing have spoken about the events in Los Angeles that have left the Knighthood without their usual leader.  

The entire Los Angeles area is now covered with a dark miasma that has interfered with any signals that might be sent out from phones, etc., leaving the whole world wondering what exactly is happening down there.  Final images showed horrendous monsters, a panic of citizens, looting and violence from humans and Shadowkind alike.  

Hasmed has warned of extra magical wards on the castle, and anyone arriving will immediately take notice of one very prominent one: above the entire roof of the excessively large building hovers a black and red sigil in the air, a pentagram in a circle surrounded by runes or words in an unknown language, stretching for miles.  

[ This is the social log for post-LA lockdown.  Failboat must complete the top log before being allowed to tag outside of it. ]

That's... assuming he hasn't inherited the sensory capabilities of a god, as well. In which case there is literally no means of taking him by surprise. [ to her credit, gar sounds really chagrined about having to point this out ]

He summoned two giant ... They were like guardians, but they were enormous creatures of fire. They were like nothing I've fought before.

Summoning isn't in the normal realm of powers for a telepath in the first place, so it's clear he's inherited a measure more of abilities that we might not be able to predict.

[ a beat ] Is there anything else?

When has he ever been in the world of normal powers? [No but really. She's breaking her silence for this because this is the whole friggen point.] He's not just some Telepath, he never has been. That's like saying the Mind Master is just a Psion. She's a friggen Demon from Hell with Psionic Powers, who, for the record, can't seem to be hurt without our hits backlashing onto the rest of us while she doesn't even get a scratch.

[I mean. Seriously folks.]

This is the level of crap that we're dealing with here.

Which is precisely why we need to combat these beings in a different way than we have been. Brute force won't work. We need to use our most powerful magics.
