Hasmed's announcement does not brook any rebuttal: all Knights are recalled to the Castle, where they must remain until the Section Heads and Jack Chessing have spoken about the events in Los Angeles that have left the Knighthood without their usual leader.  

The entire Los Angeles area is now covered with a dark miasma that has interfered with any signals that might be sent out from phones, etc., leaving the whole world wondering what exactly is happening down there.  Final images showed horrendous monsters, a panic of citizens, looting and violence from humans and Shadowkind alike.  

Hasmed has warned of extra magical wards on the castle, and anyone arriving will immediately take notice of one very prominent one: above the entire roof of the excessively large building hovers a black and red sigil in the air, a pentagram in a circle surrounded by runes or words in an unknown language, stretching for miles.  

[ This is the social log for post-LA lockdown.  Failboat must complete the top log before being allowed to tag outside of it. ]

Once they arrive, Finn has a look around. He at least knows how the microwave works now, but that's a little more accident friendly.]

[ Obviously. She starts getting the basics down. Salt, sugar, flour. ]

I only know how to make one kind. And the measurements are iffy, but it should be fine.

Are they those ones with the chocolate in them?

[He pulls open a cabinet and grabs a bowl, assuming they'll have to mix some stuff together.]

[ she points to another cabinet. ]

Get the flour and sugar out of there.

[He turns to where she's pointing, moving to open up the cabinet. He knows what sugar is, but flour not so much. Good thing everything's marked with big letters.

He pulls out the correct bags, setting them down on the counter.]

It's all mixed in ratios. Flour most of all, then sugar, then butter. [ that, at least, is familiar, but caroline had used words like tablespoon and cup and she doesn't know the volumes for those. ] We'll need the chocolate chips too.

Alright, I'll try to find those too.

[He at least understands the concept of ratios, so that's something. He starts rifling through more cupboards, looking for chocolate.

He'd figured out what that was after coming here pretty quick.]
