Hasmed's announcement does not brook any rebuttal: all Knights are recalled to the Castle, where they must remain until the Section Heads and Jack Chessing have spoken about the events in Los Angeles that have left the Knighthood without their usual leader.  

The entire Los Angeles area is now covered with a dark miasma that has interfered with any signals that might be sent out from phones, etc., leaving the whole world wondering what exactly is happening down there.  Final images showed horrendous monsters, a panic of citizens, looting and violence from humans and Shadowkind alike.  

Hasmed has warned of extra magical wards on the castle, and anyone arriving will immediately take notice of one very prominent one: above the entire roof of the excessively large building hovers a black and red sigil in the air, a pentagram in a circle surrounded by runes or words in an unknown language, stretching for miles.

Let me guess. Tyrannical politicians that rule the galaxy with an iron fist free of the Republic's corruption but-- [ she raises a placating hand, tone softening. ] Only for the good of the galaxy.

That's what the want, yeah. They're trying to restore back the order that existed under the Empire, get rid of the Anarchy brought on by the Rebellion.

[He frowns.]

I used to be a part of them, but I defected. The New Republic didn't believe them to be a threat, but they were wrong.

[realists]

I had a friend, that left the Empire.

[ bodhi had defected as well, which is why jyn decided to bring him up in the first place, even though her chest constricts thinking about him. finn's not alone, is all, though she doubts anyone in the first order grew up on stories of the empire's defector. ]

[militarized]

You did?

[His eyebrows lift; he didn't hear about defectors too often in the First Order, if at all. If there were others like him, they were either killed or too scared to act on it. He got it, though. He'd been scared for a really long time too.]

You were a part of the rebellion, then?

[realists]

Briefly. Wasn't really called a rebellion at first.

Yeah, I guess it had to start somewhere. You got pulled here before things started getting intense?

[realists]

[ jyn breathes out something of a bitter laugh. ]

Yeah.

[militarized]

[His eyes drop, as if he realizes he might have said something wrong, but doesn't know how to address it.]

I can't say I'm looking forward to another war.

[realists]

No one ever is. Except the people that declare them.

[ in this case she supposes it's that dude that killed his dad ]

I'm not sure they're always looking forward to it, either. Pretty sure this jerk is, though. It's not a war to him. It's a game.

[realists]

[ jyn nods in agreement before pushing to her feet. better get to work. ]

Stop watching. It's only going to get worse.

[militarized]

I will.

[Even if it's hard, she convinced him.]

[ jyn pauses, by the door. ]

I'm Jyn, by the way.

[ and then poof, she is out. ]

[But she's already gone. As he turns back to the tv, which is now off, he has to wonder if she even heard him.]
