Hasmed's announcement does not brook any rebuttal: all Knights are recalled to the Castle, where they must remain until the Section Heads and Jack Chessing have spoken about the events in Los Angeles that have left the Knighthood without their usual leader.  

The entire Los Angeles area is now covered with a dark miasma that has interfered with any signals that might be sent out from phones, etc., leaving the whole world wondering what exactly is happening down there.  Final images showed horrendous monsters, a panic of citizens, looting and violence from humans and Shadowkind alike.  

Hasmed has warned of extra magical wards on the castle, and anyone arriving will immediately take notice of one very prominent one: above the entire roof of the excessively large building hovers a black and red sigil in the air, a pentagram in a circle surrounded by runes or words in an unknown language, stretching for miles.  

[ This is the social log for post-LA lockdown.  Failboat must complete the top log before being allowed to tag outside of it. ]

[She's both relieved and disappointed to not have an invitation extended. It sounds exciting, and a good opportunity to try out some of her new spells. But it also sounds like a death wish, to go without this organization backing you up.]

I'll try to butter up Hasmed to keep me in mind for whatever he's planning. I can't promise to be able to do anything about it, but I can try. [She can be pretty persuasive when she wants to be.]

I almost wish you wouldn't.

[There's something grim in her expression and Rose wonders if maybe, this was how Faye felt when she approached her before Andres. Rose would be fighting this war, yes, but not in the way that those left behind would.

She comes to a stop, rounding so that she's standing directly in front of Faye.]

I'm not saying, don't fight. [Look how well Rose was responding to such a suggestion.] But... Keijen and the Mind Master? They make everything you've ever fought look like a joke. If you face them and live to tell the tale? It's only because they want you to. Hasmed and Solace think that if you throw enough manpower at these guys then you can win, and that's just.... it's never going to work.

[None of this sounds like staying here as a good thing, Rose recognizes that and tries to counter her own words.]

But it can buy us time to find a way to destroy them once and for all. Stop it from being as bad as it would be if there was nobody to stand against them at all... just... please.

[ Thinking about that very conversation before Andres.]

[She lets out a slow breath, letting that information sink into her. There are a handful of Knights she really cares about that could end up canon fodder to buy Rose and her friends some time. Faye's stomach twists in knots at the thought of any of them not making it out of this. Her best chance at keeping her people safe was to be there.]

Okay. [A will save of 16 keeps her from getting too emotional, but this conversation feels more like goodbye than the one on Andres. Maybe because even if Rose wins, she may not be allowed to come back. There's a lot that could change, a lot that was already changing.] I'd ask you to do the same, but... [This is the definition of not careful basically.]

[She would love nothing more than to see all of the Knights take a backseat on this once, to know that her friends were safe while they found a way to finish this, but the cost of doing nothing while they did just that, far outweighed the potential cost of fighting.

Still. It's not lost on Rose what she's saying here, nor is the tone of this conversation.]

I will. And... I don't know if there's going to be a way for you to safely reach me. [She didn't even know where they were going yet.] The phones we got from the Knights are going to be a no go but... when I figure it out? I'll try and at least, check in.

Alright, well- whenever you do find a way, don't do something dumb and start off with "it's Rose." [Just saying.]

You should be the only unknown number texting or calling, so it's not like I'll need to do any deep dive investigation.
