Hasmed's announcement does not brook any rebuttal: all Knights are recalled to the Castle, where they must remain until the Section Heads and Jack Chessing have spoken about the events in Los Angeles that have left the Knighthood without their usual leader.  

The entire Los Angeles area is now covered with a dark miasma that has interfered with any signals that might be sent out from phones, etc., leaving the whole world wondering what exactly is happening down there.  Final images showed horrendous monsters, a panic of citizens, looting and violence from humans and Shadowkind alike.  

Hasmed has warned of extra magical wards on the castle, and anyone arriving will immediately take notice of one very prominent one: above the entire roof of the excessively large building hovers a black and red sigil in the air, a pentagram in a circle surrounded by runes or words in an unknown language, stretching for miles.  

[ This is the social log for post-LA lockdown.  Failboat must complete the top log before being allowed to tag outside of it. ]

[There's like 2 bad guys and so many Knights. What does this fight even look like?]

Me neither. If it were so simple as stabbing a bloke with a sword, I'm certain someone would have done it already.

[Hook so often ends up feeling useless, a man with a blade in a world filled with magic. He holds his own, but not half as well as people like Emma and Faye do.]

Hey, we all have our strengths. I've got long distance. You take the shit that gets too close for comfort. [She's a spellcaster and therefore pretty squishy when it comes to hit points. She appreciates people like you, Hook.]

[His eyes glitter with amusement.] Is that what I do? Well, I'm more than happy to get injured to protect you, lass.

I never said I wanted you to get hurt. [She rolls her eyes, but there's a smile there.] I would hope you would be good enough by now to take someone out without getting hurt.

[unhand]

Well, you're no wrong. I am very good. [He smirks, shrugging his shoulders.]

And so humble. [She nudges him with an elbow. Not that she has any room to talk. Faye is the least humble person to ever exist.]

The point is, we should stick together if we can.

[unhand]

That, I would drink to. [He says like he needs an excuse to drink ever. He pulls a flask out of his pocket and offers it to her.]

[She's not going to turn that offer down. She grabs the flask and takes a long drink.]

I heard Emma's back to her old self.

[unhand]

Aye, that she is. [He smiles slimly.] About bloody time, right?
