Hasmed's announcement does not brook any rebuttal: all Knights are recalled to the Castle, where they must remain until the Section Heads and Jack Chessing have spoken about the events in Los Angeles that have left the Knighthood without their usual leader.  

The entire Los Angeles area is now covered with a dark miasma that has interfered with any signals that might be sent out from phones, etc., leaving the whole world wondering what exactly is happening down there.  Final images showed horrendous monsters, a panic of citizens, looting and violence from humans and Shadowkind alike.  

Hasmed has warned of extra magical wards on the castle, and anyone arriving will immediately take notice of one very prominent one: above the entire roof of the excessively large building hovers a black and red sigil in the air, a pentagram in a circle surrounded by runes or words in an unknown language, stretching for miles.  

[ This is the social log for post-LA lockdown.  Failboat must complete the top log before being allowed to tag outside of it. ]

Yeah, they do. This whole thing is kind of insane, really.

[She's still processing that this whole thing could be he end of the world.]

Still, glad you made it back safe.

[He nods, rubbing the back of his head.]

I still feel like I should've stayed behind. [His partner is back there and he already left one partner behind when he ended up here. He doesn't like thinking about how unprepared they are in LA right now.]

[Her face softens a bit at that, reaching out and placing a hand on his arm gently.]

You'll be going back in there soon enough. We just need to take a chance to regroup.

Yeah, it just feels like I could be doing more than taking a tour of the place if I'd been allowed to stay there. Organize things from the inside. Make sure our guys have the right access.

[killmypatience]

[Yeah, she doesn't disagree there and that may show on her face a little.]

Do you still have contacts in LA? Anyone we can talk to when we get there that might smooth things over?

[cowboy]

Well, as long as I don't get kicked off the force for abandoning my post when the shit hit the fan -- we should be okay.

I think whoever's in charge when this is over will be able to smooth through any red tape.

[Having someone on a local police force is always a valuable asset. She doesn't think that Hasmed or Solace will consider that any less valuable than Wynn did.]

They always seem to have strings to pull.

Well, that's good - 'cuz I'm not so sure the department will really understand me bailing in the middle of all of that.

[She nods in agreement.]

I think right now, we just have to make sure there will still be a department to go back to.

[cowboy]

Any clue how we're gonna go about that? From what I've seen gathering everyone here is the only move they've made.

[She shakes her head.]

Basically it's been a lot of hurry up in wait, but apparently they've been conferring on the issue all night.

Yeah... I'm not very good at waiting.

[killmypatience]

Yeah, same could be said for a lot of us.

[There are a lot of people who want to get down to business, and she can only imagine it's doubly so for Riggs who got pulled out of where everything was happening to be put on ice.]

Hopefully they'll have a solution to that soon.

[cowboy]

Yeah... I'm not banking on whatever their version of soon is being soon enough.

Nothing's going to be soon enough. If this is even happening in the first place, we're already too late.

[She gives a small shrug.]

If we do manage to succeed, it's honestly more damage control than anything else.

[cowboy]

Yeah, see -- I'm usually the one that needs damage control to follow after me. I thought for sure that this whole rounding us up, meant that we'd come out swinging. Not... sit around at wait.

[killmypatience]

I'm sure you're not the only one.

[She sighs a bit, rubbing the back of her neck.]

Hurry up and wait isn't exactly the strong suit of a lot of knights.

[cowboy]

Yeah, doesn't help much that we're all pretty much grounded. Can't get out of this place to get some air or think anything over.

[Riggs isn't really good with regulations and restrictions.]
