Hasmed's announcement does not brook any rebuttal: all Knights are recalled to the Castle, where they must remain until the Section Heads and Jack Chessing have spoken about the events in Los Angeles that have left the Knighthood without their usual leader.  

The entire Los Angeles area is now covered with a dark miasma that has interfered with any signals that might be sent out from phones, etc., leaving the whole world wondering what exactly is happening down there.  Final images showed horrendous monsters, a panic of citizens, looting and violence from humans and Shadowkind alike.  

Hasmed has warned of extra magical wards on the castle, and anyone arriving will immediately take notice of one very prominent one: above the entire roof of the excessively large building hovers a black and red sigil in the air, a pentagram in a circle surrounded by runes or words in an unknown language, stretching for miles.  

[ This is the social log for post-LA lockdown.  Failboat must complete the top log before being allowed to tag outside of it. ]

Would you do it, sir? Bring a friend in when things are this dangerous?

I guess you're right. [He glances down at the ground before taking a deep breath in.] Do you want to drive? I'm still not used to the whole left side of the road thing.

[Clark tells him how to get to the air bnb Lois is staying at. And he even has Koraith make a pit stop so he can get donuts, because he's a good friend (and he's sucking up). He sends her a text when they're about 10 minutes out and hopes for the best. When they arrive, he looks nervous as hell.]

You coming in? [He asks Koraith before he gets out of the car. He has no idea how this works.]

It's likely best you explain to her first, and then signal me once you've prepared her.

[He knows Koraith is right, but that doesn't make him any less nervous. He's going to have to come clean about... a lot. This could go very, very badly. But he just takes a deep breath and nods.]

I'll text you. [And with that, he gets out of the car and heads for the front door. Knock knock.]

[ lo opens it within .2 seconds ] There you are. Get in here.

[He heads inside, glancing over his shoulder briefly before focusing fully on the task at hand.]

Yeah, sorry. I brought these though. [He offers her the box of donuts.]

[ she looks at the box for a second, blinks, and then smirks ] Wow, this must be some really bad news.

I guess we'll see. [He has to fight against his instinct to think up some excuse, to keep all of his secrets hidden.]

Maybe we should sit.

[loisfuckinglane]

You're making me nervous, Smallville. [ but she'll move to a table and set the box of donuts down there ]

[He sits but doesn't grab a donut. He keeps his gaze on her.]

I've been lying to you, Lois. For a long time. And if I come clean, you could be in danger. I need you to know that before I say anything more. I need to know if that's worth it to know the truth.

[ well now she's lost all interest in donuts ] I can handle danger. You? Need all the help you can get.

Help people. Stand up for what's right. [He hasn't...been on many missions so he doesn't have a ton of examples.]

Everything that happened in LA? We had people there. They tried to stop it. And we're still trying.

How exactly are they trying to do that?

I don't know. I haven't been involved with it.

[He looks down at the table. Boy, he had hoped to avoid this for a bit longer.]
