Hasmed's announcement does not brook any rebuttal: all Knights are recalled to the Castle, where they must remain until the Section Heads and Jack Chessing have spoken about the events in Los Angeles that have left the Knighthood without their usual leader.  

The entire Los Angeles area is now covered with a dark miasma that has interfered with any signals that might be sent out from phones, etc., leaving the whole world wondering what exactly is happening down there.  Final images showed horrendous monsters, a panic of citizens, looting and violence from humans and Shadowkind alike.  

Hasmed has warned of extra magical wards on the castle, and anyone arriving will immediately take notice of one very prominent one: above the entire roof of the excessively large building hovers a black and red sigil in the air, a pentagram in a circle surrounded by runes or words in an unknown language, stretching for miles.  

[ This is the social log for post-LA lockdown.  Failboat must complete the top log before being allowed to tag outside of it. ]

You know? Actually, right now, I'm feeling a bit like you, too. [The events of Earth 11 are still fresh in his mind, his anger bubbling up unexpectedly from deep within, thought to have been buried. He looks at the targets before them again as he raises his hand, fingertips crackling with unshed magic.

His eyes begin burning a bright, electric blue just as a blast of fire and heat and rage flashes towards the dummies, obliterating them in a burst of white-hot fire.]

See, I knew you were more than an awkward book nerd. [She says it fondly at least.] Is it just the W word sort of magic that's a big no-no then? Stuff like this doesn't rock the boat for you?

[He stares at the burning dummies for a moment before answering her, the bright blue fire in his eyes dimming in stages.]

Yeah, the W word is the worst. This? This is all within my control. It's all my magic, W word included, but I don't have control over that, not really. This is all mine.

That's good, at least. That has to suck, though- having part of your magic that's not really yours.

It's definitely not the most fun thing in the world, knowing if my bottle ends up in the wrong hands my magic could be used for something other than my intent.

[The mention of 'wrong hands' causes her gaze to drop briefly. She still feels bad for even entertaining the idea of using him for her own nefarious purposes.]

You ever think of establishing some sort of safe word? Something you could tell your friends that would let them know someone had your bottle, but wouldn't tip off the jerk who took it?
