Hasmed's announcement does not brook any rebuttal: all Knights are recalled to the Castle, where they must remain until the Section Heads and Jack Chessing have spoken about the events in Los Angeles that have left the Knighthood without their usual leader.

The entire Los Angeles area is now covered with a dark miasma that has interfered with any signals that might be sent out from phones, etc., leaving the whole world wondering what exactly is happening down there. Final images showed horrendous monsters, a panic of citizens, looting and violence from humans and Shadowkind alike.

Hasmed has warned of extra magical wards on the castle, and anyone arriving will immediately take notice of one very prominent one: above the entire roof of the excessively large building hovers a black and red sigil in the air, a pentagram in a circle surrounded by runes or words in an unknown language, stretching for miles.

[it indeed destroys the fake Loki, his apparition dissipating completely at her final blow. Jordan is left on his knees, staring at the place Loki had been moments before, confusion and relief and something else warring on his face. After a moment his head swivels back to Faith, the smile of relief dropping in quick degrees to turn into mortification and horror.

He finally remembers that this is, in fact, a dream, his dream and that Faith wasn't a part of it, but with him in it. And she had seen everything. She had been a part of some of his worst nightmares and fears, actively a part of them, and it was as horrifying and sickening as he could imagine.

He stands, facing her, every emotion rolling over him plainly on display for her to see. He is at a loss as to what to do.]

[ her expression drops watching all this play out on his face, as she struggles to figure out how to comfort her. she steps forward, raising a hand but not touching him out of fear he recoil ] Jordan, it's ... it's ok, I promise. It was just a nightmare.

[As soon as she lifts her hand he's stumbling away from her, his face becoming a mask of anger and hurt. He moves away, head swiveling frantically as he looks at the encroaching shadows, turning back to her with the start of panic on his face.]

Get us out of this. [his voice rises in pitch, his panic beginning to bleed through to his voice.] Now, get out, now!

Ok! Ok, just... [ and with that, she's going to reach out carefully to grip his wrist, and draw them out of the dream ]

[He comes out of the dream quickly, eyes snapping open to land on her face next to his, pupils dilated as a red hue stains his face. Less than a second later he is pushing himself up from the bed, starting to gather his things as he does all he can to avoid looking at her.]

[ faith moves to try to stop him, reaching for his arm ] Jordan, wait!

[She's able to catch his arm and he freezes at her grip, face swinging back to look at her finally and she would see on it a mix of emotions, shame and embarrassment the most prominent. He shakes his head, those emotions clearly warring on his face before seeming to settle on one.]

I thought I was freaking you out?? [the words are clipped, and he nearly spits them at her, his face scrunching as he wages a war with his inner turmoil.]

I know what I said, but it-- it wasn't me, Jordan, I'm so sorry. The dream ... I must have gotten swept into the dream. I didn't realize that I would be part of your nightmare.

[He scoffs at her, hands scrunching his hair in frustration.]

I thought you were supposed to be in control of the dreams you enter? [his embarrassment is fast turning to anger.] You sure seemed to be a willing participant in it.

Jordan, I would never say those things. You have to know that. I'm... I'm sorry that I wasn't strong enough.

But you did say them, Faith. [he shakes his head, turning away from her.] How can you explain that?

Because dreams have power, Jordan. Why do you think I'm so worried about what the Nightmare God can be doing to them? Exactly what we saw there! Blade can have harnessed that power, have strengthened the dark energy of nightmares. Made them more real. This is exactly what I worried about. [ diplomacy 18 ]

[well he... just crit-failed that will save.

His shoulders droop at the obvious logic of her words, and it's like all the anger just disappears as he turns to face her again.]

I... [he shakes his head] I'm so sorry, Faith. I know that was your fear, and I've done nothing to help assuage it.

[ she reaches out to grip both of his shoulders ] That's not your fault. It's mine. I didn't realize... I didn't expect it could be that bad already. I wouldn't have put you in that position.

[he shakes his head, eyes landing on the hands she has on his shoulders. he nods, shrugging away from her touch probably not as casually as he would like to have made it seem before walking to the window, hands landing on the frame as he looks blankly through the planes of glass.]

No, I shouldn't have been the one to put you in that position. I know how bad my nightmares have gotten lately. I should have known it would have ended up this way, but I thought... I thought with you there it might have been better.

[ her hands move to her arms, hugging them tightly against her chest ] It's him. It has to be.

[he nods, eyes still focused on the view from the window. There is a pause of a few, pregnant moments as the air between them hangs heavily with what had just transpired in his dream.]

I don't think I can help you with your dream-work anymore Faith, I'm sorry. [It's said softly into that quiet space between them.]

It's... it's ok. I'll find someone else.

[he nods, still not turning from the window. He knows he is being cold but at this very moment, he can't seem to help it, barely holding onto himself after the nightmare they had just shared.]

I think that is a good idea.

... I should leave you alone. For now.

[he still doesn't turn, hands gripping the sill tightly as he hears the pain in her voice, the hurt over his behavior.

He also doesn't try to stop her as she leaves.]
