Hasmed's announcement does not brook any rebuttal: all Knights are recalled to the Castle, where they must remain until the Section Heads and Jack Chessing have spoken about the events in Los Angeles that have left the Knighthood without their usual leader.

The entire Los Angeles area is now covered with a dark miasma that has interfered with any signals that might be sent out from phones, etc., leaving the whole world wondering what exactly is happening down there. Final images showed horrendous monsters, a panic of citizens, looting and violence from humans and Shadowkind alike.

Hasmed has warned of extra magical wards on the castle, and anyone arriving will immediately take notice of one very prominent one: above the entire roof of the excessively large building hovers a black and red sigil in the air, a pentagram in a circle surrounded by runes or words in an unknown language, stretching for miles.

[If this were any other circumstance, she might have felt bad about taking advantage of Oliver's resources, but when you're in a new world and you don't really have any resources of your own, you take what you can get. Oliver had the means to get her to Thea, and he wanted to get to Thea too, so in a lot of ways, consolidating their travel makes sense.

Still, the whole private plane end of things was ... interesting.

That being said, she steps into the airport and scans the crowd for familiar faces. She is struggling though (spot 8) so for the moment, she's just going to take her time, and try not to stray too far from Oliver so he doesn't lose her in the crowd.]

[The private plane eliminated a lot of the hassle of Laurel not having proper ID, or a passport, or anything really linking her to this world. It didn't however help with having to go through the terminal. Security still won't just allow people onto the tarmac to greet their friends. Unfortunately, he doesn't know what Thea looks like. He's not even sure if Laurel does -- but he knows that Thea knows what both of them look like.

He's relying on her to make this association -- or to hold a sign of some sort.]

[ grumpy uncle hasmed is over here standing back for now, but he's gonna keep a close eye on the situation ]

[ thea's spot check was a 17 so, after standing on a chair to get a better look because what is subtlety to a queen?, she spots that familiar blonde hair and yells her name without even thinking. ]

LAUREL!

[ she's real! she's really laurel! ]

[And her big sister hearing is enough to pick up on her name in the crowd, and she turns to spot Thea, standing up there on the chairs making herself seen. And with that, Laurel will just cut through the people, weaving her way around rows of chairs and once she's close enough, pulling Thea into a hug, presuming she gets down off the chairs so that she's at hug level.

[ oh thea is into this hug, basically leaping down from the seat and into laurel's arms. guess what? she's decided that if this is a scam or a dream or some incredibly well fabricated virtual reality, she doesn't care anymore. she's lost her brother and felicity, but laurel is here.

[And Laurel will keep her close for as long as Thea wants, but eventually she'll have to pull back and actually look at her with a small smile, thumbs brushing against the apples of her cheeks.]

You okay?

Yeah, yeah I'm okay. [ her brother and surrogate sister just died and the big sister she's always wanted to be her actual big sister is alive and well and here and already looking after her. everything is fine.

she looks over laurel's shoulder to see oliver, giving him the least subtle once over in the history of subtlety. ]

Is that Oliver?

[She follows Thea's gaze over her shoulder and nods, before waving Oliver forward. He's welcome to interrupt the moment now.]

Yeah. That's Oliver.

[ okay so like two things. he's cute which is weird because he has her brother's name and as a rule she doesn't find oliver's attractive because ew. second: ]

He's blond.

[ that was not a whisper. ]

[Her eyebrows go up just slightly.]

Our Oliver wasn't blond?

[She has no frame of reference for him, just a name.]

No... He looked like me. [ they both looked like their dad, even if it turned out their dad wasn't the same. neither of them had inherited moira's blonde. ]

[She glances back to Oliver again before nodding.]

Good to know.

[And then she waves a hand because she's clearly clueless.]

Does any of it match up at all?

He doesn't have a me, but his mom died when he was nine.

[ so thus, no time for a baby sister a decade younger than him. ]

[Her face softens a bit at that, because she can't imagine what it would be like to lose a parent.

Or have parents, really, but just because Laurel got memory wiped doesn't mean she lost her sense of empathy.]

That must have been really lonely.

[ IT SUCKS. but thea would never begrudge laurel her parents, especially because thea loves laurel's parents. ]

Probably. But he's been really nice so far. He tells horrible jokes.

[ thea loves them. ]

[She laughs.]

That's always way more charming than it should be.

It is, [ thea agrees, wrinkling her nose. since hasmed hasn't interrupted their reunion to tell her that laurel is some kind of evil clone preying on her grief and sorrow, thea feels secure in adding: ] Come on, let me take you home. I'll make you a milkshake.

That sounds perfect.
