[ Kenzi had threatened Paige with a ladies night and of course, if anyone needed a night out it was Bo. The fact that there's also a talking Tree, a drinking Raccoon and... Drax? It's Kenzi. Why is anyone shocked by the people that she spends time with? She has ideas and they spin out of control and you just sort of hang on for the ride. It's her way. She may have casually mentioned they were coming here to a few other people, so if you happen to show up as well? The more the merrier.

The location itself isn't exactly filled with the garish glitz and glamor that a person generally associates with Vegas. Pandora has a British Pub meets modern day speakeasy feel to it. It's known for its signature cocktails with names like Panty Dropper and the Hot Little Mess and you can always count on live entertainment in the form of dancers, magicians, a band and of course, a DJ. It also happens to be one of the few clubs that has an open door policy where Shadowkind are concerned. Whether they'll be rethinking said policy after tonight? We just don't know. ]

[ She looks... borderline horrified at his first guess and she knows why he made it... it's just that this is the first time she actually made that connection. ]

[ It's hard to take her seriously right now when she's not even successfully masking her own laughter.

She looks at him then, her smile resting easily on her lips as her eyes rake over his features, Kenzi trying to ignore that little wave of giddiness that wiggles inside her. ]

I so would have eaten it too.

[ the little bit of contact, even aggressive as it is, makes his grin widen a bit and he takes another drink since she can't shove him pretty far (pratt got them muscles tho) ]

Maybe the next evil witch.

[ And she... isn't much better than he is, as she glances in his direction and adds. ]

[ his eyebrows loft a bit at the comment, and he turns to look at her with an expression that's almost comical as he clearly takes a second to decide whether she really just-- yes she did. his jaw ticks a bit to the side with an amused and highly intrigued look creeping over his features as his eyes lock on hers, his thoughts clearly wandering to some really unspeakable places. ] I mean... [ give him a sec to recover ]

It's funny you should mention that [ he shifts back a bit, trying to do a super casual lean as he sets his drink down ] because one of the great things I hear about Vegas? Are their really swanky hotels. [ at least he did not use the phrase 'all you can eat buffet'. he was probably tempted. ] Saw it on a brochure.

[ It really says a lot about Kenzi that she… legitimately just Crit Failed her Wisdom Check.

It probably says even more that while Peter might have only just been tempted with the buffet jokes… ]

I can’t tell if you’re inviting me to get a room with you or if that’s one super suave lead in to a smörgåsbord joke.

[ Oh. Ohhhh. Now she might need a moment as she looks at him, her body swaying ever so slightly as she allows that image to really build in her mind. ]

Both is good. [ Her Will Saves are just broken where he is concerned its very unfair. ] That's... generally my motto.

[ Sweet, mother of God his ability to turn her into a wobbly mess of desire could be weaponized and make him a millionaire. She would honestly like, nothing more right now than to end this night exactly the way that he’s proposing and yet it’s the mere mention of cutting her night short that has her groaning, and not for lack of patience. ]

[ Does it matter that there’s some glimmer of regret in her eyes? ]

[ he makes a show of stabbing himself through the heart with an invisible dagger, his head dropping back slightly with exaggerated (but not entirely unreal) disappointment. ]

Yeahhhh, I'm really glad I'm such a stand-up guy right about now.

[ just. so glad. where's his medal.

he'll settle for revisiting his drink. ]

... Too bad, really. Here I had some creative ideas that could have made damn good use of a roommate-free zone. [ no one ever said he wasn't going to be a total tease about it, at least ]

[ She’s not entirely sure if it would have been better if she hadn’t believed he was truly disappointed. She can’t say, because with that 48 Sense Motive? He’s making it harder for her to keep whatever this is at arm’s length, especially when his melodramatic response has her wanting to drag him off into a corner.

But no. Dammit no. She was not going to be that person. (Will Save 33). She’d dragged everyone out because they’d needed this and she’d promised Paige she would make sure she didn’t accidentally marry some random dude in Vegas. ]

I… hate you so much right now. [ Or was that herself? God this being a good person was total bullshit. ] Ya know… technically… there are roommate-free zones that don’t involve staying in a hotel.

[ What?! She wants to have her cake and eat it too!

And that’s a really unfortunate choice of words given the subject matter. ]

[ That was... so not where she was going with this but with her Sense Motive 48 and the spectacular 2 I got for her Will Save. (Just how). She is, very quickly on that train.

Maybe Peter can praise the tequila as she leans in closer now, her fingers brushing along the outside of his leg as she lowers her voice to a level that's clearly meant only for him to hear. ]

[ he gets a 21 will save not to pop a boner in the middle of the club, yw fellow patrons. his eyes drop to watch the trail her fingers are blazing, before dragging very slowly back up her.

he leans slightly closer as well, letting her draw him in to a point where the proximity is tantalizing in and of itself, her words enough to push it over the edge and leaving that half-grin permanently affixed to his face. it just lives there now. ] Consider me very interested in the rest of that list. [ At least one of them has their eye on the prize, Kenzi coming to the rescue with her Spot Check of 27 as she quietly thanks the gods above that she had the good sense to wear a dress tonight. She does allow herself a brief moment to acknowledge the broad chest now inches from her face, pulling in a shuddering breath as the scent of alcohol and Quill fills her head before her fingers trace the path of his arm to capture his hand in her own and lead him through the club.

[ why hello there dimly lit back hallway. he allows her to thread him through the crowd, his fingers laced through hers, the alcohol also beginning to go to his head enough to let him just allow the sounds and colors of the place to begin to wash past them and makes this setting that kenzi has found much less unappealing than it actually is. as soon as they get back there, his hand moves to her waist, steering her with gentle firmness against the nearest wall below that glowing exit sign as his hips draw in closer to her own. he kind of towers over her, which makes his proximity all the more overwhelming, and his other hand moves down to tilt her chin up, eyes fixated on hers for a moment before they become fascinated with her mouth.

and he breaks them out when it matters, i guess, because

the glow of the exit sign is apparently doing him some favors back here lighting-wise, and there's an undisguised, almost hungry light in his eyes as his fingers graze tenderly against her jawline with electric intent. ]

That "thing about your eyes", by the way? That one's just a fact, not a line.

[ he leans a little closer, his fingers drifting back into her hair, the drink on his breath noticeable but his speech at least unslurred, and no glassy signs of just being totally drunk in his eyes. he tilts her head to the side slightly, his lips finding their way to her jaw and pressing some rather exquisite, slow kisses there, and down the side of her neck (his dex is a 21 today y'all, you in for a treat in at least one aspect). he ends up at her ear, where he very huskily adds, as the hand at her hip slides down the outside of it and back around to her ass: ] And I have not been able to stop thinking about last time.

[ It's that low level buzz that keeps her from overthinking everything about what they're doing, Kenzi strangely at home amidst the steady thump of music and the intoxicated sway of bodies. She doesn't seem to mind the location but then, he doesn't give her much of a chance to notice it. The illusion of distance they'd been maintaining since she'd sidled up next to him at the bar is shattered as he backs her up against the wall and she's grateful for the support the second his eyes lock on hers because she swears her legs are about to give way from the intensity of his look.

Her lips part and while she tries to disguise it, there's a flash of surprise followed by something else? A flare of emotion mingled with confusion, as if she's not entirely capable of processing what he's said, because this time? She really does believe him. (Sense Motive 47).

She's kind of grateful for the distraction as his fingers tangle through her hair, Kenzi's hand slipping around his body as the other climbs up his chest. A soft, low moan spills over as his lips dance along her jaw, Kenzi's eyelashes fluttering as he draws her in with his touch then practically decimates her with his next words.]

Oh, god, me either. [ Her eyes closing and her fingers pressing into his side as those words tumble out of her mouth, her desire to shove them back in only outweighed by her growing need to be with him. ] I've been torn between tracking you down so I can kiss you or kill you.

Her touch grows firmer, more insistent as she angles her head so that their lips are barely a breath away from each other. Kenzi breathing him in, drinking in his features from beneath a veil of dark eyelashes. There's this part of her that even with him this close, still wants to try and cling to her sense of self-preservation but with the way he touches her, kisses her, every word that passes his lips she can feel it being ripped away. ]

What are you doing to me... [ Her words released on a breath, a hint of awe in them like perhaps the question wasn't entirely meant for his ears, but it doesn't matter because before she can think on it too long she's closing the distance between their lips and giving him his first taste, of exactly what she meant by that. [ he's not immune to the deeper implications of what she's saying with those few words, unintended as they are for him to hear in the first place. which probably accounts for some of the tenderness behind the way he kisses her back, although it's hardly void of a growing sense of need with the way her lips and tongue seem to meet his own with such seamless give and take. just kissing her like this draws a soft moan from his chest and he presses closer to her, so that she can feel it vibrating through her own.

the grip on her backside slowly gives way to fingers wandering down towards the hemline of her dress, dipping past it to brush the skin on the back of her thigh with teasing caresses as he continues to sink into the kiss with her, taking his time with it in a way that the past encounter's frantic pacing didn't exactly allow for.

when the kiss finally breaks enough for him to breathlessly respond, his eyes hang closed for a second before opening to a half-lidded, hazy stare. ] Are you gonna kill me if I tell you how bad I wanna know what you taste like? [ as if to accentuate the point, he starts playing with the bottom edge of her dress and shifts his fingers to dip under it enough to trace some very light circles against her inner thigh ]

[ When it's hot and heavy and careening ahead at a frantic pace, she doesn't have time to think or feel her way through it but this? This is different not just because she can savor the feel of his lips on her own or the way her body molds to his. It's that sudden surge of fluttering that rolls through her chest at the tenderness of the kiss, the erratic stammer of her heart that she can't entirely dismiss as hormones as his moan surrounds her, rolls through her and draws a whimper from her own lips.

She can feel the sway of her body as the kiss breaks, the bright, dancing lights from beyond their little hallway teasing her senses from beneath heavy lidded eyes and it's almost like she can feel his gaze on her as his breath skims past her lips. Kenzi lifting her chin enough to look at him just as that question passes his lips.

She sways into him, her grip on him tightening and there is no denying how turned on she is right now. Her lips parting and a groan escaping as she shifts into his touch, encouraging the path his hand is taking. ]

If you keep saying things like that I'm going to have to seriously rethink my answer on the Hotel. [ No Peter. You're quite safe... though she might kill you now if you don't follow through. ]

[ that brings some of that perma-smirk back, but then his lips are busy catching hers again as his fingers ghost up between her legs, dancing with deft precision of pressure across her center through the silky fabric there, and following the line of the band up so that he can start dragging her panties very slowly downwards. he breaks off the kiss to press his lips to the underside of her jaw again, and then her neck, and down the neckline of her dress towards her cleavage as his fingers continue to work her underwear off at a very deliberate pace. his tongue follows the swell of one breast as he sinks down onto his knees, his free hand moving up to fondle the other.

as his knees hit the cement floor, he pauses to look up at her, still with that damnable smile dancing in his eyes. ] Not too late. [ except yes it is, because this train ain't stopping. ]

[ Her eyes flutter closed once more and for once in all their encounters, she actually allows herself to let go. No overthinking what it means, whether it's a smart decision or not. It's just the way his lips brush over her skin, the tug of material as he drags her underwear down her body, the sudden loss of contact as he lowers himself down onto his knees and draws her gaze back to his face.

There's this look of quiet awe as she meets his gaze and it occurs to her, this is not something she usually allows. She's the one who likes to take control, who likes to give rather than receive but she can't even focus on that too long when he's looking at her like the only thing he needs to be fulfilled in life is to taste her right here in the hallway of this club. ]
