[ Kenzi had threatened Paige with a ladies night and of course, if anyone needed a night out it was Bo. The fact that there's also a talking Tree, a drinking Raccoon and... Drax? It's Kenzi. Why is anyone shocked by the people that she spends time with? She has ideas and they spin out of control and you just sort of hang on for the ride. It's her way. She may have casually mentioned they were coming here to a few other people, so if you happen to show up as well? The more the merrier.

The location itself isn't exactly filled with the garish glitz and glamor that a person generally associates with Vegas. Pandora has a British Pub meets modern day speakeasy feel to it. It's known for its signature cocktails with names like Panty Dropper and the Hot Little Mess and you can always count on live entertainment in the form of dancers, magicians, a band and of course, a DJ. It also happens to be one of the few clubs that has an open door policy where Shadowkind are concerned. Whether they'll be rethinking said policy after tonight? We just don't know. ]

No, that is a perk specific to the Knighthood. I haven't had to steal anything in years. I got mixed emotions about that, too.

Maybe he figured you liked it a little too much. He probably wanted that stuff to actually make it back to the castle.

That's offensive and if I hadn't taken myself off active duty, I'd be complaining to somebody about it.

"Off active duty"? What does that mean, exactly?

It means that until things improve on the Shadowkind front, I don't leave the headquarters. [A beat.] 'Cept now- again, 'cause Kenzi said she'd buy the drinks, but I've got my eye on all these jerks in here, and it's kinda killin' my buzz, anyway.

Wait. If you thought that people here were gonna kill you if you went outside the base, then why'd you come here in the first place? [ that doesn't make sense ]

'Cause Kenzi. Said she'd buy. My drinks.

[WHAT IS HARD ABOUT THAT.] It's an acceptable risk. I'm not pushing my luck beyond that.

I meant here in Las Vegas.

[Rocket jerks his thumb at where Kenzi and Groot are doing The Floss on the dancefloor. Also he has thumbs and that's not a normal raccoon thing and it's weird.]

Kenzi wanted Groot to come. I didn't wanna come, but Groot and me are a package deal, so she made me an offer, so I wouldn't pitch a fit over it.

What kind of offer are we talking about?

Okay, it was less of an offer and more that she assumed Groot would just come along, so I had to come with 'cause no one else can talk to him. You happy?

I'm pretty sure they have spells on this planet for translating even treespeak.

[ he's not sure he's convinced you didn't want to be where the action was, tbh ] Anyway, I was just curious.

[uuuuuuugh. don't make him feel things.] Yeah. I appreciate the, uh... [HOW DO WORD.] Concern?

[ that... genuinely surprises him and he manages to tamp down on the sarcastic response with a nat 20 sense motive ] Really?

I mean. I know I'm not... the same guy. So I'm sure it's weird for you. It's weird for me too. But maybe it can be a good weird.

[Rocket swipes a hand over his muzzle.] Dude, I'm gonna level with you for a second. I knew the other dude for about a week before I came here. The only thing we got between us is a bunch of experiences that don't even matter 'cause I've got more experiences here to think about. And, frankly, you're exactly as impressive to me as the other Quill, so it's not that weird. Good or bad.

[You can take that as you see fit, Quill.] So I won't talk about savin' the galaxy and you can just be Quill, and we'll see where it goes in a natural fashion. All right?

[He sticks a hand out, looks at his hand, regrets this decision, and then crosses his arms over his chest. No shaking his tiny baby hand for you.]

[ well, that throws him a bit, clearly, and the surprise is written all over his face. the way rocket and the others had made it sound before, he had expected something very different, and clearly takes this as a relief in several ways. he starts to extend a hand but then it's a fake out so he just ... pulls it up awkwardly ] I mean, yeah that makes sense to me.

Honestly, it'd just be cool to be able to talk to somebody about things outside of Earth.

You're tellin' me. I miss bein' able to get a Kree brandy and bet on Orloni fights.

If I hadn't crash landed, I would have had an intact bottle back on my ship.

[wait.] But you still got the ship, right? It's just busted?

[starprince]

Busted's not the problem. SHIELD stole the engine, and the materials to replace it aren't exactly available at ACE Hardware.

[beatupgrass]

Dude. You're lookin' at one of the best if not the best engineer in the galaxy, and also a master thief. Maybe this is the heist that brings us together as a group.

[Or maybe he just wants to steal and/or see the Milano again.]

[ his eyebrows lift a little at that, and the wheels visibly spin in his head, as he glances left and right before leaning in over his drink ] Can you keep a secret?

[Debatable.] If this involves what I think it involves, hell yeah I can.
