[ Kenzi had threatened Paige with a ladies night and of course, if anyone needed a night out it was Bo. The fact that there's also a talking Tree, a drinking Raccoon and... Drax? It's Kenzi. Why is anyone shocked by the people that she spends time with? She has ideas and they spin out of control and you just sort of hang on for the ride. It's her way. She may have casually mentioned they were coming here to a few other people, so if you happen to show up as well? The more the merrier.

The location itself isn't exactly filled with the garish glitz and glamor that a person generally associates with Vegas. Pandora has a British Pub meets modern day speakeasy feel to it. It's known for its signature cocktails with names like Panty Dropper and the Hot Little Mess and you can always count on live entertainment in the form of dancers, magicians, a band and of course, a DJ. It also happens to be one of the few clubs that has an open door policy where Shadowkind are concerned. Whether they'll be rethinking said policy after tonight? We just don't know. ]

[Nope. And it also helps that Cora's met the raccoon in question.]

You lost Rocket?

[And she'll turn her head a bit, tipping her nose up as she tries to see if she can catch Rocket's scent from where she is (survival 24).

Also that comment isn't so much judgmental as an acknowledgement that the raccoon is very wily, possibly even more so when drunk, and could easily have slipped away in the crowd.]

[ She grimaces because... it gets worse??? ]

He's been drinking tequila.

[ Rocket is honestly? Probably somewhere inside the bar trying to pick a fight with a dude in a trucker hat because he made a roadkill joke not even knowing Rocket was there or what he was. ]

Between him and Groot and... everything that is Drax? Might have needed another chaperone.

[ The hint of a sheepish grin playing across her lips. ]

[She shakes her head.]

Don't worry about it. He probably didn't go far.

[They just need to follow the trail. How much trouble could Rocket get into, she thinks foolishly, not really knowing Rocket that well at all.]

[ The way her smile turns knowing? Don't worry about it is not a response anyone should have to a drunk and missing Rocket. ]

I'm guessing you don't know him that well? [ I mean. It's fine. It should be fine. He probably isn't going to blow anything up.

While they're still here. ]

[And then her nose wrinkles, because that's never a good question to ask.]

I guess I don't?

Though he may be small, his affinity for trouble is great. [ A beat. ] And that's sober.

[ Which, let's be real? Is generally what Kenzi would appreciate him, except not when she's being 'The Mom'. ]

You wouldn't want to babysit for a night, would you? [ So, very oblivious to it being Cora's birthday tbh. ]

[It's fine, it's not actually Cora's birthday anyway. It's just ... somewhere in the general vicinity of her birthday.]

I can try? First we have to find him, though.

[Which it's not hard to pick out the not-quite-raccoon scent so she's going to tip her head in the direction Rocket has wandered off on and start heading that way, hoping Kenzi will follow.]

Shouldn't be hard to follow his scent.

[ Kenzi watches all this with her head cocked to one side, her eyes narrowed infinitesimally as she tries to figure out what Cora is doing.

Those words register in her head just as Cora sets off, Kenzi quick to catch up though she's now... way more focused on the searcher than their prize. ]

Dude. [ She drops her voice to keep others from hearing but still comes out with a dramatic whisper: ] Are you a freakin Vampire?

[... You know, people have called Cora a lot of things over the years. "Vampire" is not one of them. In fact, it almost makes her laugh.]

No. I'm a werewolf.

[ It's her forever go-to supernatural guess. She blames Twilight. She just wants to meet somebody who legit sparkles and make them be her BFF. Ya know. Except without the brooding or the nomming. ]

No shit! [ Eyes lighting up like a kid at Christmas and suddenly... she's forgotten about Rocket. I'm sure it's fine. ]

I used to be friends with a Werewolf. He was a detective who - check it, was also his own police dog.

[ Which is, pretty well all she remembers about Dyson, including his name. She does get weirdly happy every time Coldplay comes on the radio though, so there's that. ]

[She snorts a bit at that.]

Really? Did he actually solve a lot of cases that way?

Wouldn't you if you were a cop?

[ She is way too into this idea. ]

He sniffed out a few things in the time I knew him. [ A beat. ] Never a drunk raccoon, though.

[She shrugs.]

I just think it would be complicated. It's not like you could use your sense of smell as evidence in court.

[Whether the world is open about the existence of werewolves or not.]

[ Her eyes narrow, the deep thoughts etched across her features. ]

Yeah, I never really thought that far ahead. [ Shrugging. ] It just seemed cool.

[She smirks.]

Well, if it means putting the bad guys away, I guess that's what matters, right?

Plus it makes for a killer answer to the 'what can you bring to the role' question in a job interview. [ A beat. ] Assuming that job is not in America.

[She snorts.]

Thankfully, I'm generally pretty okay with the job I have now, so I'm not looking to trade out anytime soon.

[Cops have too many rules, anyway. She just wants to help people. Plus if she was a cop she'd have to go to court all the time and that just sounds like a bad plan all around.]

Plus the perks don't suck. [ Her nose wrinkling as she points out; ] Usually.

[ Living underground and facing imminent death didn't sound like much of a perk. ]

[She makes a face.]

And usually the allies don't either.

You too, huh?

[ Not even going to pretend like she doesn't harbor some hate. ]

[She glances around to make sure other people aren't around, before turning back to Kenzi. It's also a complicated story, so she tries to break it down as easily as possible.]

So when I fell through the Veil, I was just coming off full moon withdrawal, so my control wasn't the greatest. I did my best to find somewhere isolated where I wouldn't run the risk of hurting anyone, but Hellsing found me anyway. And they definitely tried to kill me.

[She shrugs.]

If the Knights hadn't shown up, either they would have killed me or I would have killed them.

[ She wants to be shocked. Horrified, even but really? With what she knows about S.H.I.E.L.D? It's hardly surprising that Hellsing are equally fucked. ]

Oh good. [ Her tone dripping with sarcasm. ] So it wasn't enough that dumb and dumber got us into bed with Nazi, thieving, spies? We get to team up with racist murder types as well.

They're just picking some winners.

[Her tone is very dry.]

Hellsing hasn't done anything against me since they got here, but that doesn't mean I trust them.
